Manka 2- Bolivian Food — Restaurant in South Salt Lake

I lived in La Paz, Bolivia for 5 years, and since moving back to Utah, I’ve been searching everywhere for authentic Bolivian food — with no luck. That is, until yesterday when I saw Manka 2 and was beyond excited to see that it said Bolivian Food!

At first, I thought maybe they would just have a small selection, but their menu blew me away — they had all my favorite dishes! Chicharrón, Sajta de Pollo, Silpancho, Falso Conejo, Sopa de Maní — literally everything I missed from Bolivia, all in one place.

The owners are also some of the nicest people you’ll ever meet. I ordered the chicharrón to try it out, and it was incredible — as authentic as it gets! Every bite took me right back to Bolivia.

The food was great and the staff were so courteous and friendly. Make sure you get some Saltenas or Tucumanas. The place was clean and the food was on point. When we got there, we were 2 big groups and there was only husband and wife working. It seemed that they were a little understaffed but they managed to take care of us even though it took a little longer to get the food. However the wife (cook) personally came out to apologize with a free shareable meal for us for the inconvenience. That was so nice of her.
