BeauTea — Restaurant in South San Francisco

I ordered from this place via UberEats and it is the first time I tried their boba and popcorn chicken. The popcorn chicken is okay but, the quality is not as high as I expected it to be. The texture is slightly crunchy but not to the point where it’s super hard to chew. It’s a little bit salty and has a little bit too much pepper for my taste. When I requested sauce, I was expecting something more like tarter sauce or sriracha sauce, instead I received ketchup. I love ketchup but I would not eat it with popcorn chicken. It is good with sweet and chili sauce if you order it from here or somewhere like Quicklys. Besides the popcorn chicken, I also ordered the rose milk tea with lychee jelly. The taste of the drink is similar to the ones I have had at Tea World (located in Pacifica). I also wish the straw a little longer because the opening is literally a couple inches from where you poked it in the plastic cup. Next time I get drinks or food here, I’ll try something different to see if I enjoy something else other than what I ordered today (8/1/18). ICE CREAM WITH PEARLS! My Cholesterol alert is blinking but I was blinded by this sinfully good ice cream called Brown Sugar with Pearls. The vanilla ice cream is smooth, its taste is deepened by the brown sugar syrup. The main ingredient that hooks me is the pearls—fragrant with a touch of herbs and fruits. Their taste remind me of grass jelly and lychee. The price is so reasonable and the portion is perfect for me. The place is very small. It deserves all our support for this local business on Grand Avenue. The ice cream and smoothies are so good, I deserve a croissant and butter abstinence whenever I paid this BeauTee shop a visit. Had the vanilla shake, strawberry matcha latte, mini corn dogs, onion rings, and mozzarella sticks. It was all so good! They cook everything to order so the food was crunchy and hot. My daughter loved her shake and I really enjoyed my latte. And all of it is very reasonably-priced considering inflation nowadays. We're making this our go to spot for snacks and drinks. I wish there were stools at the counter but standing room is fine. And they have a pretty pink flower wall to take photos in front of.
