My daughter is a regular here. I would be too if I lived out here since they have taken her under their wing in a way and become familiar with her and with things going on in her life. I mean besides the amazing food, to have ppl like that making me feel like my daughter is being looked after kept up with when she’s over 1000 miles away from home, hard to find these days. That makes this family owned cafe at the top in my book.
Now onto the food…my daughter said there is nothing that isn’t good here. She told me to look at the menu before we get there because they are usually very busy and it’s best to know what you want before you get in line.
I had a hard time deciding. Everything I read sounded so good. I was torn between the veggie burger, the BLAT and the pancakes, waffles, French toast and crepes. I ended up flipping a coin and chose the banana pancakes with bacon and eggs. Pancakes are yugeeee!! Way too much for one person. Eggs light and fluffy. Bacon cooked exactly like I like it.
Got a delicious latte to wash it down. I hope to be able to come back again before I head back to Arkansas so I can try the other things that my mouth was watering for.
If you are from the South like me and appreciate small town vibes and family owned places that remember your fave and name and ask how your family and kids are every time you visit, this is your place. Thanks for making my child...
Read moreWe were staying near SFO airport and stumbled across Brothers Cafe on our first morning in San Francisco while looking for a good brunch spot — and honestly, what a great find! The place has such a chill, cozy vibe. The host was super friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. They’ve got both indoor and outdoor seating, so whether you’re in the mood for some sunshine or a cozy corner inside, you’re covered.
We tried a bunch of items: the French toast, the Home Run sandwich, the Belgian waffle, and the Chicken Sandwich — and everything was solid.
The Chicken Sandwich was hands down my favorite — came with sweet potato fries, and both were amazing. The chicken was super tender and juicy, and the sauce they use really took it to the next level.
The Home Run sandwich was another hit — it’s a breakfast sandwich with eggs, bacon, cheese, and this delicious sriracha aioli. It came with hash browns that were perfectly crispy, but my only minor gripe is that the hash browns had no salt at all. Not a big deal since there was salt on the table, but when you add it afterward, only the top part gets any flavor.
The French toast and Belgian waffle were both really good too — classic brunch treats done right.
All in all, great little spot with good food, good vibes, and great people. Would definitely come back again when we’re...
Read moreFood is pretty good here, but the layout of their ordering system is a mess that builds resentment.
There are two entrances, one for eating inside and one for order pickup. While patiently waiting in the “eat in” line, watched an entitled white girl slip inside and camp at two tables while her girlfriend did the line wait. Of course, she took prime tables so those ahead of her got what was left, or had to wait for a table to open up while she surfed her phone waiting for her girlfriend. There’s nowhere to sit while you wait in the long line, which for those with mobility disabilities is really tough and risk falling.
I finally got up to the line, and someone cut in front of me apparently from the “pickup” line and ordered. Small things, but they add up to a bad experience despite the food being good (though very pricey). Kinda kicking myself for giving a huge tip for what’s essentially bringing food to my table and clearing it, the staff is friendly and works hard so it’s not really their fault management has a very cheatable line. Hopefully they crack down on this and/or find a way to take “first come first served” for...
