I will give the caveat that I have eaten here for lunch and dinner on many non-holidays and the service was good. With that being said, I would not expect good service on a holiday. I booked a reservation in advance for Valentine's day, knowing it would be busy. Upon arrival, I was informed they were behind on reservations and it would be a 20 minute wait. I was fine with this. After almost 40 minutes of waiting they told me that I would have to wait at least another hour minimum (45 minute min for regular dining instead of the hibachi) because of a party of 15 showing up late for their reservation. If that's how you treat customers who have honored their reservation then I would seriously reconsider your business practice. Honestly, they should have had a sign stating no walk-ins or reservations take precedence. A restaurant is more than just its food, it takes logistics and management. Manage the business and respect your...
Read moreWe've been going to this restaurant for several years. Compared to other hibachis, it's average, but better than others in this area. I'm allergic to onions, so I request my dish without them. It comes full of them. But this is what really got under my skin: each time we go, we order the $20 bottle of plum wine. Each time, the server returns and apologizes, then offers the $40 bottle (which we would never be able to to finish and you can't take it with you) or $6 glasses (which are probably left from the last unfinished $40 bottle). It finally dawns on me that it's a ploy. Upset, I request a manager. No one available. I get two different stories about where the manager is, excuses about their poor inventory practices, and three bottles of soda (which I don't drink) to compensate for the discontent. Really? Needless to say, I won't be going...
Read moreThe cooks are great. The waitresses are terrible. I told the girl I had a mushroom allergy and asked that my veggies be cooked separate. She literally just wrote no mushrooms, never mentioned I had an allergy. I informed the cook who was very upset and alarmed she didn’t write allergy. He made sure that veggies were made separate for me and on a completely different grill. The cook made it great but the waitress was very rude about it to the cook as well as to me and my family. She was not only giving dirty looks she also was gossiping about it to other coworkers like it was a joke. If they were unable to accommodate to my allergy they should have told me that, and I would’ve left. But I’ve never had that problem before at a hibachi place. They’ve always been...
