Bob Evans — Restaurant in South Union Township

We've ate at a few Bob Evans restaurants now. This location is up on our list of places to stop at. We never had any issues with our food. The plates come to you well prepared. The staff is always friendly. And it is just a good sit down dinner. My last encounter here I had to pick up a to-go order to feed 30 people. Making the online order was simple and doing a catered style meals was a better price than ordering separate meals. When I picked up the order it was ready right on time and very hot. They gave us everything we could think of for all 30 people to eat their meal with. The staff was very helpful getting everything out to my vehicle and loading it up. My husband and I went into bob evans and we got sat and it took over 10 minutes for the server to greet us. We gave her our drink and food order all at the same time. About 40 minutes went by and we still had not received our food so we decided to go outside and smoke a cigarette. We came back in to find they had given our table to someone else because the host thought we had left yet we told our server that we were going outside and that we'll be right back. By this time it has been almost an hour and she told us our food was coming out right now and it was taking longer because they had a big party that had just got their food. Kids finally agreed on something. Pot pies for dinner. Called ahead to make sure they had pot pies. I know they don't always have them available. They said yes. The person on the phone was nice. Said she would hold them for us. We got there. Waited a while. At least 10 minutes. Then the waitress told us that they were just being put in the oven and it would take at least 20 minutes. :( my duaghters were really disappointed, especially my 5 year old who didn't 100% understand. So we had turkey dinners. It was OK. The whole time, my 5 year old asked what happened to the pot pies they said they had. Ugh. Ordered one to go. Paid.
