American Deli — Restaurant in Southaven

It’s okay to want to keep business within the family but when your family member is giving your customer a hard time you check them . My boys went in to get my food even after showing screen shots with my info , name , food and confirmation that it’s been paid like she was asking she still did not give him my food . Not feeling well or dressed my best I had to go in to get my food . Keep in mind she never asked me for anything she was asking my boys for she just handed me my food looking scared . Not once did she apologize for her behavior and tried to avoid servicing me . She didn’t say hey ma’am I can help you or anything she was avoidant I had to approach her . So if I get on my platform and talk about my experience would I be wrong ? You never know who you interacting with so be mindful how you treat ppl. If you not a ppl’s person please go work...

We ordered quite a bit to test it out. Chicken tenders were that of school cafeteria food/walmart deli. Mostly thick breading, not much chicken and no flavor. Strips usually taste like fried chicken but not these. Tasted baked maybe? Not appetizing at all like the website menu showed. The fries were thin crinkle cuts and mostly mushy, undercooked didn’t finish them. Arby’s has a superior Reuben. Their Reuben barely had sauerkraut and the bread was extremely tough and chewy. Boneless wings were just ok. For the hype and wait, nothing we ate said “come back for more”. I’d rather have Arby’s and Wings House for wings. Won’t be returning. I’d rather eat at the El Patron that used to be here. They were always hot fresh...

All the food was cold despite having to wait for 15 minutes to get it. We placed an online order and went inside to pick it up. The chicken tender sandwich was cold and the lettuce was NOT fresh (the flavor of the lettuce was like it was chemically washed) The Reuben sandwich had almost no meat and what meat it did have was chopped up into tiny pieces like dog food. The gyro also had VERY little meat or sauce. Mostly pita bread and onion. The fried rice was ok but it has corn and green beans in it which is unusual.

All in all, I will not be back to American Deli...
