I went to their location last night roughly around 10:30. Me and my husband sat in the drive thru and he spoke into the microphone several times but no reply. So my husband and I went into the lobby. As we come in people walk by us no one greets or tries to acknowledge us. There was a young teen who was sweeping and made eye contact but gave us a cold stare. She walked to the backroom and did not come back out. One of the cooks, who was excellent, came to the front counter and was very sympathetic. He told the girl that he knew that she saw us in the lobby. He asked her for her employee card to login to her register and take our order. She came back and snatched it from him. He then went to the back and ALSO cooked our food. So the girl, whose name is Jada, comes out to continue sweeping. At this point I'm calm and thankful for people like the cook. But then I look at the girl and I see that she has the drive thru headset on which put me on edge for the simple fact she ignored us at the drive-thru and also in the lobby. I let it go for my husband's sake. So fast forward, the manager brings me my to go order and asks do I need any sauce, I tell her yes ma'am, cocktail sauce. She then tells Jada(the rude cashier) that they aren't closed and that she needs to go get some cocktail sauce. Jada proceeds to say, "technically we are closed", the time was 10:52. I told the manager you know what she doesn't have to worry about it and walked out furious. Over this whole experience I can say thank you to the cook because it was not his job to greet me and take my order. I will be reaching out to the Corporate Office and regional managers to have some type of correction for this...
Read moreFirst and foremost, they have a B rating from the health department. There were a whopping TWO people running this entire store. The person at the register looked barely a day over 15.. As a general rule, I try not to go to a restaurant an hour before closing and prefer to go inside so I'm not burning up my gas. 1. It's rude to show up right before close and 2. The store is prepping to shut down. As such, you will get what is left on hand which is normally the bottom of the barrel. As a restaurant manager, it takes a couple of hours to shut down a store, even longer if you're working with a skeleton crew like this store was. I've ALWAYS loved Captain D's but this time the food was burned. This rarely happens but given this time of the year, I don't always have time to cook at home. All in all, the food was ok and we only came to this restaurant because the Horn lake one left us waiting at the menu in the drive through line for HALF AN HOUR not once but TWICE with no response. As we were driving off, we saw the one employee standing around chatting with someone inside... So this restaurant gets an extra star because the alternative has been as garbage as Horn Lake is. Absolutely would NOT recommend going to the Horn Lake...
Read moreI was in your restaurant on 4/7/21. I am a frequent customer. I go to this restaurant at least 3 times a week. I was not greeted at the counter. The associate, Jasmine, simply stood and stared at me, and I just assumed she was ready to take my order. I asked what type of meat was in the gumbo. She replied, "I don't know." She made no effort to find out. Again just standing there staring at me. I went ahead and placed my order. I ordered the Southern Fried whitefish meal with jalapeño poppers. As I was waiting for my order, the fish was ready first. Still had a wait on my poppers. Jasmine bagged my fish, and handed me my bag. I reminded her I was still waiting on my poppers. Her response was, " I know." I remained quiet, calm, and patiently waited for my order. I'm saying all this to say, I frequent this restaurant for good food. Not to be spoken to rudely with an attitude. I'm not sure what this young lady's issue was, but she definitely does not need to be dealing with customers. I will not...
