Due to our (a different place) favorite sushi place selling their business, we're on the hunt for a new favorite. Happened to find Naru doing an online search and the really good reviews, so decided to give it a try.
Being a Monday, it wasn't busy, but the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We made our selections and timing was perfect. Our food was fresh, great flavor, and it's definitely a place we'd try again.
I do wish the sushi rolls were larger. Most places we've been to, there is a standard sushi roll size. Of course which roll you order, this will vary some, but these rolls are much smaller than most places. The price is very high and I wish the rolls were standard sizes.
We ordered several appetizers for our small group. They were all exceptionally good. Everyone enjoyed their food. The sushi wasn't my favorite, but definitely worth going back and trying other options.
They even went above and beyond, making sure we were happy, had everything we needed, enjoyed everything, and brought out two special dessert dishes as we were celebrating a birthday.

Today I tried a new sushi roll on the menu and informed my waiter that I did not like the taste. I asked if I could get something I had already tried. The waiter stated yes but came back and told me I would only be able to get half of the new roll since I had already eaten some of the roll I did not like. Which was understandable but I was not understanding how my check would be affected. Next thing I know someone came from the kitchen and things escalated. My waiter seem bothered by the kitchen rep trying to explain something to me. However, he did not make anything better or understandable so I just paid for my food including the sushi that I barely ate and left. There needs to be someone who is capable of effectively communicating with their customers and some kind of written policy on the menu If not already. If there is a policy on the menu then please simply point that out to the customer. I would have been 100% more understanding. Read moreextremely sad experience with take out. ordered on the way and was told 15-20 minutes but in total spent about 45 minutes waiting for 2 sushi rolls and a hibachi order while restaurant was not busy. Very small sushi portion for the price. When I finally got my food I forgot to order a soda so swiped my card again and was charged TWICE 2.75 for the small soda. Unfortunate experience all around. Employee never apologized for the wait and said that the second charge would not be charged but my credit card app showed otherwise.
*edited to mention that the reason for the review is the principal of the situation. Anybody could make a mistake and charge twice. But to have a complete disregard for someone’s time on a Sunday and then brush off the second charge is not right.
