I cannot in good faith recommend anyone to purchase anything from Zales. Their service & repair department is subpar. My husband sent his wedding band off to be polished and engraved 5/30/24. After being without his wedding band for approximately 3 weeks, why was the band not engraved when it arrived back to the store for pickup? Maybe that was a one-off. Mistakes happen, right? I sent my engagement ring off 6/14/24 to have a bent prong at the base of the ring repaired. After a little over 2 weeks without my ring, I was so excited when the store called to let us know it was ready for pickup 7/2/24. I arrived at the store to pickup my engagement ring only to notice the bent prong still bent in the exact same place. The ring had not been repaired at all, only cleaned. Why pay to insure these rings only to get subpar service when it is time for repair? The sales associates were very apologetic and offered to return the ring back to the service department with better pictures of the specific portion of the ring needing repair in hopes the repair would be done correctly this time. I reluctantly allowed the associate to send my ring back to be serviced for the same issue after it was unresolved the first time. This is extremely upsetting and inconvenient as I will now be without my ring for even longer than the usual repair time due to the upcoming holiday weekend.    Read moreThis is the worst store I ever dealt with I was notified that I had an online order in I went to the store to pick it up I was great by a very nice and professional Latino lady she went to retrieve my items and one of the items were missing. She asked the two African American females that were there if they saw the items and got all the online order ready for pick up and all they said was yes and never tried to access her in searching for my missing item. When she discovered it was an error neither of the African American ladies apologized but the Latino lady was very apologetic and being African American myself I felt that I was racially profiled and discriminated against by the two African American females in the store. I returned days later to pick up my item in the store a different African American lady working there greeted me very poorly and then asked for my ID I handed it to her and in return she placed my ID in a bag and she never assisted me by showing me my product she just handed me my item and didnât say a word. This happened after spending thousands of dollars at this store now I see why itâs always empty besides the Latino lady the customer service stinks. I called the store to ask for a manager and to add insult to injury they told me he will be back in the store in the morning but after doing research he was in Alabama for a meeting and would be gone for a few days. I took a ring that needed repaired that belonged to my grandmother and I asked could I get it appraised before repair because I did not want to repair a ring if it had no value. They sent the ring for appraisal and I never received a call to let me know the value which I was told I would receive. I went on line and it said cost to repair was over $1000 so I attempted to call the number on my receipt to seek the value and could never get to a person so I opted to have the ring sent back to the store. When I went to pick my the ring and explained what occurred I was told they would send it back and have things done right. 2 weeks later I receive a call from the store that my ring had been repaired and ready for pick up. I asked what the value of the ring was and she looked and said she did not know. She would have the Manager call me on Monday. That week a Manager never called me so I called. She listened and said she would try to call someone and get back to me. She did not. I eventually called back and the appraisal was not done so I was upset because they had a ring repaired I had no clue the value of. She said I would get a discount.
