Rancho Grande Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Southaven

I have visited this location maybe a total of 3 times. Twice when it was pretty new, and once recently. There were several problems I noticed that were reoccurring each visit. The most recent visit was probably the worst. My friend and I came in to have dinner and drinks here one night, a Thursday or Friday. We stood at the entrance in front of the hostess for 10 minutes before she even noticed us or asked us if we wanted a table. She was too preoccupied with her other worker friends approaching her, then somebody who came in for a to-go order had all of her attention, then at one point she just decided to up and leave her post for a while, I was immediately turned off from eating here or standing there another minute longer. We were finally seated. Our waiter did not arrive at our table for 5-10 minutes, and when he did, he immediately asked us if we were ready to order, without taking our drink order first or even bringing chips and salsa... Not to mention, there was a table full of screaming teenage girls seated behind our booth. I know they weren't the restaurants responsibility, but they were screaming, hollering, cackling, and just rude to the entire occupancy of this restaurant. When we finally got what we ordered after some time, it didn't take long for us to want out of this place. It sounded like a middle school cafeteria. Our waiter took quite a while to get us our checks, and when it was time to finally leave, we did not hesitate. I have had one too many bad experiences here, and will not...

Placed order to go and be delivered by Eats Delivered. The total for the food was over $35.00. I ordered two Shrimp, rice and cheese dinners, added on beans, Pico de gallo and guacamole to each meal. I received chicken, rice, and cheese and the add ons. It appeared Rancho Grande only sent one dinner. I thought maybe they had combined the two meals into one container but when we opened the container it had only enough for one meal. When I called to complain the manger did not want to admit they had not filled the order properly all he wanted to do was blame Eats Delivered. He did tell me they put each meal in a separate container. Well the manager kept blaming Eats delivered but Eats did not prepare and pack the meal.This was the first time we ordered from Rancho Grande and it will definitely be the last time I spend any money with them. This is not the first time I have ordered a meal from a Mexican Restaurant and had it delivered by Eats, but it is the first time the order has been shorted.I have no complaint about Eats. They always do an outstanding job. If I could give the restaurant minus stars I would. The lack of concern from the manager was disturbing, but the food was not good and my husband (who used to work for a Mexican Restaurants) could not eat it. Absolutely the worst experience I have had with a to go delivered meal and the manager did not care he just wanted to blame someone else. They must have so much business they do not have to worry when they lose...

Ordered through Uber Eats. The restaurant had missing items. I called the restaurant and they placed blame on the Uber Delivery. However, Uber driver cannot appropriately deliver an order that is not filled properly by the restaurant. The restaurant refused to give a refund for the missing items. So, they will receive money for a product they did not deliver. I have a problem a business wants to blame their mistake on another, such as the Uber driver. It would have been different if the manager apologized and refunded for the missing items. Poor management. It is a shame to not take responsibility and blame someone else in the process while also refusing to refund for the 2 missing items. On the other hand, I also believe in giving credit where credit is due. The food that we did receive was good and no problems there. I just recommend to watch your orders, items you are charged for very closely because when a mistake is discovered, be prepared the restaurant will not take accountability and be quick to shift the blame, all the while keeping your money. Doubt they will receive my business...
