Wimpy's Burgers & Fries — Restaurant in Southaven

Sitting and waiting for my food right now. This is my second time visiting Wimpy's. Both times the cashier was less than friendly and somewhat disrespectful. I ordered a number one with no bun- I'm trying to stay away from carbs. The cashier kind of smirked, then asked what kind of cheese I wanted. When my food came out I had a burger patty with cheese on it. I chocked it up to it being my first time there and made a mental note to specify what I wanted the next time I came here. The food was good, although it could have used some lettuce and pickles. Today we came into the store. No greeting, no hello. The cashier was busy doing something on her screen so we waited patiently. She looked up and gave us an impatient look, as if she was waiting on us to order, still, no verbal acknowledgement. It was simply rude. My husband commented to her about it and she muttered an excuse. The food. Well, despite the fact that I specifically said I wanted just the burger, not the meal, we were charged for, and recieved the meal. The burger was ok. The patty, in my opinion is to small for the bun. The ketchup on the table tasted like trash. I took a bite of a french fry with ketchup and it tasted the way a dumpster smells, like the rotting sweet smell with flies flying around that accompanies a dumpster. Anyway, we won't be...

There is certainly plenty of choices in Olive Branch / Southaven area for Buger Shops one step up from chain Fast Food, from Rapid Service to Full Service and new ones open all the time (Wayback Burgers is the latest in O.B.). So why Wimpy's over others like 5 Guys or The Sear Shack? Well, Wimpy's have been around longer than most, they are still quite popular, and they have good, consistent Food and Service. Their Burgers are gigantic, fresh meat pressed on flat grill, more reasonably priced than most and 100% customizable with a wide variety of toppings. Come hungry for sure! Today I tried the Signature Double (#2) and it was almost too big for a traditional after- church luncheon. Friendly and fast service on a busy day, all good.... well, almost. Took off a star off this review because my hot and generous portion of Fries vaguely tasted like Fish. Thing is, they also offer Fried Catfish now, a recent addition to their menu, and they probably have not added a dedicated fryer, not cool. Never fry seafood in the same oil as French Fries or Chicken Tenders. A basic rule... Today, it was my only major complaint on an otherwise great Burger Joint. Minor detail: hard to park when busy, not many spaces available...

Unorganized. Ordered online for curbside pickup. After submitting the order, I had to call the store to inquire about drinks because there wasn't an option to order beverages with my Combo online. I had no issue getting in touch with one of the workers and confirming which beverages I wanted. When I got to the store, I spent 5 minutes in my car calling the store to have someone bring my food. No one picked up, so I had to go inside. When I got to the counter to pick-up my order, my food was behind the counter in the cooking area. However, my drinks were sitting on the pick-up counter unattended, where any of the other customers could have touched or tampered with them.Or even coughed or sneezed on them. That was really negligent and I definitely should have mentioned it, but I was already frustrated because no one would pick up the phone, so I just wanted to get my food and leave. The drinks were thrown away , so my money was wasted. I would ask to be compensated, but I really don't want to return to this...
