If I could give 0 stars, I would. This is not my first time at this subway location. Though previous experiences have not been this bad they weren’t great either. The place always has an abandoned look. They’re always low on items and their soda machine was out of service twice. Their employees don’t look well groomed or knowledgeable. All these things just doesn’t make you feel welcomed as a customer. Today my experience was so awful that I felt obligated to write this review. I walked into the store and there was no one there. No one that I could see behind the counter. I approach the counter and try to look behind the register. Nothing. I said “hello” and a young lady sitting at one of the tables on her phone got up and walked behind the counter. She seemed bothered to be interrupted. She washed her hands and put gloves on. Her phone kept going off as I was ordering. She stopped me from ordering and grabbed her phone from her back pocket and texted for a few seconds (didn’t bother me even if it’s not professional). They only had Italian bread. The meats didn’t look fresh (I should’ve just walked away, but thought “it’s just my idea, the meats will be okay”) I should’ve listened to myself! The vegetables also looked old. The lettuce specially. They had no tomatoes. A lot of items were missing (which doesn’t make it appetizing or appealing to the eye of a customer). They had about 6 bags of chips (just one flavor). The store just looked in poor shape. I asked if they had cookies because they had none in display. Employee seemed bothered by it. I ordered 2 foot longs and both my husband and I are now sick (same symptoms as a stomach virus). I knew something was wrong with the meats and it’s probably my fault for eating it. This is not okay. I will call corporate and report this issue. I will never return to this location ever again and now I will stay away from...
Read moreI don't hand out one star ratings lightly, but after three distinct experiences, this Subway....by far....is the worst I have ever been to. Because the first two times were so bad, I conducted an experiment entitled "There is one person in the restaurant, how long is it going to take to get my food?" I'm not going to leave you in suspense. With one person in front making sandwiches (slowest sandwich maker I have ever seen in my lifetime) and a second person in back doing who knows what (not making sandwiches), it took them 22:32 minutes and seconds to finish making one steak sub and my two subs. That may not sound like a lot of time, but I defy you to go sit in a McDonald's drive through or heck, go to the counter and stand there for 22 minutes and tell me what it feels like...in the spirit of improvement, as a note to the owner...you need to focus on making sandwiches and being able to do that just slightly above the lawnmower speed of "Tortise"--also I would recommend teaching your staff how to say "Hello!" and use a volume that says, "I am confident and glad to be here" not "I live in my mom's basement and haven't had a conversation with an actual human until I came to work today". Luckily, I don't ever have to eat here again...but even if I did, I would walk next door to the food lion...buy all the sandwich ingredients myself and still crank out a sandwich in less...
Read moreThis location has had some issues as far as food prep, staffing, and at times they didn’t even have bread but were accepting online orders with panicked employees behind the counter unable to fulfill the orders. Today my fiancé went there and there was a sign on the door that said “bathroom break. Be back in 5-10 minutes.” My fiancé advised that he, along with two other customers, had been waiting for 30 minutes. One customer was pounding on the glass, another on the phone trying to reach the store. I called non emergency and requested a welfare check. Per my fiancé the lady “did not look well” and was visibly sweating when she did come out and opened the door to allow customers in. Needless to say- I hope the worker is okay. I will say that my sandwich went right in the trash and I’ll contact customer service to give further feedback- we’ve given this location several tries in hopes that things would improve but unfortunately they have not. We will be giving our business to other chains who have less issues with inventory, functionality of the equipment, and appropriate staffing. A manager is rarely there, so if your order is not fulfilled or you need a refund you have to make an extra trip back to the location when a manager...
