Just my experiences, yours may vary... A family member is on a strick diet and requests the food here. I've been making the drive here, on their behalf, consistently (weekly if not twice a week) for several years and have had only 3 acceptable customer service experiences. They don't greet the majority of customers that enter establishment from what I've seen and experience. I've regularly come in and stood at register, prepared to order and not even been acknowledged. It's never been as though there was pandemonium and customers were lined up to get-in, place an order or trying to pay their bill. As stated earlier, I've been coming here weekly for several years, ordering the exact same thing and they still treat me as though they're not familiar with what is being requested to not be added to the simple dish. I will never patronize for myself or recommend this location. I've tried three (3) standard dishes here and they weren't up to the standard of the Oak Park location. Save but for respect of my family member, I'd never even drive past this location. Funny, I never experienced any issue(s) at their Oak Park location (other than occasionally crowding elbow to elbow or a long wait if wanting to dine-in) over my 15 years of working in that area, though I believe they no longer operate that location. I would hope that this location improves on the overall Customer Service at this location, but I've seen no upward movement in the last 3 years. Maybe they don't care about Customers having at least a Welcoming Experience in their establishment. I'll continue going to and recommending other establishments that at least greet/welcome/acknowledge your presence, appreciate your patronage and serve just as good or better fare. After all, I am paying them for a service, and not being paid...
Read moreI loved the food. Courteous service. Large delicious servings. I wish my stomach was larger every time I eat here including today. Their freshly-made raw juices are amazing.
Update 5 months later: I'm working my way around the menu and I still find the food amazing. No other restaurant I've found in the area can create such Quality Meals at any price. So if course I continue to return here every time I am in Southfield.
Tonight I had a 16 oz glass of all green raw vegetable juice: spinach + celery + parsley. It was thinner than I expected but very tasty, heavily tasting of celery - but of course, since celery is such a strong flavor.
I had a spinach salad with grilled chicken breast. Oh my it was good. I had a side of Baba Ganoush and it was also excellent.
Update 12/2019: tonight I tried all new things. Fattoush salad, Soujok (sausage with sautéed onion and tomato) on a plate, Adak (small bowl of crushed lentil soup), 2 small Baklava, and a small Mango smoothie. That was just about all I could comfortably finish and still enjoy. The Baklava was presented in two forms: a small rolled cylinder and a small flaky flattened sphere. I preferred the flaky one - it was buttery and sweet and stuck...
Read moreExcellent food, lovely décor, competent staff, lots of variety on the menu. I often go to this location as it is rarely busy with eat-in customers, and is therefore a quiet place to dine and have a conversation with a friend or read a book or magazine. I usually get soup, and a salad--mixed crushed and whole lentil, and fatoush salad. I'm generally not enthusiastic about salad dressing, but this one's a winner. I get it on the side so I can control how much I use. Sometimes, I order a side of garlic spread, which I eat with the fresh-baked pita served right out of an open oven. What I like best about this place is the freshness of the salad ingredients. I ordered a salad on Sunday night, and took home half of it. Thursday night, I had the leftovers with my dinner. I was amazed to see that the salad had not deteriorated much. In fact, most diners serve lettuce that looks just like this four-day-old salad, or worse, in the first place. If you live vibrantly fresh greens, check out Grape Leaves. You...
