Jersey Mike's Subs — Restaurant in Southfield

As someone who worked for Jersey Mikes for 3 years I would not recommend this location for varies reasons listed below.

Health and Safety Multiple employees wearing croc shoes without socks Girl working the grill not changing gloves after touching meat then reaching into the toppings bin with the same gloves. -Not keeping the working area clean and clear of meat chunks on the slicer and black burn bits sitting on the grill while meat is being put down.

Wrong Orders I am down at another location the last few days for work. I went to this location two days in a row and both times my orders were wrong or put together sloppily. First day I ordered a #9 regular rose parm, the person slicing it laid the meat down flat so that it hung over the sides instead of flowering the meat as trained. This lead to me having to fix it myself after so the meat would not fall out when eating. My order today was a #17 regular on rose parm, the person I gave my order to relayed what I had said to them back to me wrong, me and another employee corrected her. When I opened my sub later I found it to be on white bread instead.

Bad Service The dining room is still closed, I am not sure if this is still a company wide policy or not. I have been to three other stores in the last two months and their dining areas are currently open to the public. Also who I presume was the store manger had a laptop set up in the dining area presumably doing counts as it is the last day of the month. The laptop was also out yesterday 9/29/2021 and I am not sure why this is. I am not able to drink soda so I ask for a water cup to go, on 9/29/2021 I was given one no questions asked. As for 9/30/2021 I was told I would need to pay full price for the cup. I believe that if the dining area is not open to customers there should be accommodations for those who had planned to be able to sit...

Had a large order over 23 sandwiches. I ordered online at 10 am. My order was ready for pick up at 11:3 0am per my receipt. I got there at 11:40am. My order was not ready, which was ok with me, but the problem was there was a line of about 10 people who were just placing their order, and the lady was making everyone in line orders and had not completed my order yet . She was very short with me the customer because I ask her 1st, did she know when my order would be ready? and second, because I ask about using the coupon they advertised for their location. She said I can only use it for online orders. She tried to out talk me and I had to say, never losing my cool" I understand what the coupon stated" if you listen to what I'm asking, you could have save that last sentence you just stated. ( I did say my order was placed online). She then said it was noting she could do about it. I spent 217.00 in this restaurant and I know help is short everywhere, but your attitude will determine if I decide to return or not. I try to support my people as much as possible, but this is the reason why we don't. If working in the Customer Service Business is not your goal in life, stop working in this...

Ordered a giant #7 via DoorDash. No where in the description did it say bacon or I wouldn’t have ordered it as I don’t eat pork for religious reasons. Yet, this is the second time I’ve ordered through DoorDash asking for a turkey and provolone sub and receiving it with bacon and mayonnaise which I did not order it with. I won’t eat this. I can’t eat it due to my allergy to mayonnaise. DoorDash won’t refund the whole cost of the sandwich and I’m out the cost of the food and the food itself. MY ADVICE IS FOR THE EMPLOYEES TO PAY ATTENTION TO WHATS ORDERED AND MAKE IT CORRECTLY. If you know anyone that works here, please educate them on the importance of things such as allergies and religions that don’t allow pork consumption ( e.x Judaism, seventh day Adventist, shafardinism) just to name a few. If I had not checked the food prior to biting into it, I would have possibly been in the emergency room. I expect better from Jersey mikes and this is disappointing. I will NOT be ordering...
