Mosaic Cakes (In Culinary Studio) — Restaurant in Southfield

UPDATE: After leaving a review on Wednesday, Mosaic Cakes called me and left a voicemail. They were 'curious' if I could change my review as 'reviews are reserved for people who have tried our product and [I] have not.' I didn't bother calling back as my review is informative. During our initial interaction, they never stated anything other than 'no, sorry' they didn't have vegan options. Had they said 'thank you for bringing to our attention that there is interest in a vegan option, we will consider that in the future' then I would have left a 4 star review. I felt 3 was a nice, middle ground review but I guess they have taken offense.

They called again on Thursday and again today, Sunday. This is called harassment.

It's just ONE review. Most people would scroll past it and you should, too. You're not going to make everyone happy.

As a side note, even though they don't have an option for me, I had considered purchasing a Mosaic Cake for my family for the holidays. Unfortunately their unprofessional behavior makes me reconsider.

This Mosaic Cake was honestly one of the nicest desserts I’ve had in a while. The way the colorful biscuit pieces were set into the chocolate made each slice look really beautiful without feeling overdone. It had a great balance, the chocolate was rich and smooth, but the biscuits added a nice crunch and kept it from feeling too heavy.

Taste-wise, it wasn’t overly sweet, which I appreciated. The chocolate flavor came through cleanly, and the biscuits added just the right texture and a little bit of extra flavor without taking away from the cake itself. It was the kind of dessert you could easily have a second slice of without feeling overwhelmed.
