I'm writing this review on behalf of my husband and it's a long one, fair warning!! He visited here a couple months ago after hearing from others that the food was great. The restaurant's atmosphere was comfortable and appeared very neat. The condiments area was organized and clean. He ordered 2 chili cheese dogs and a root beer to drink which were both satisfying. My rating is lower not because of bad food but because of the customer service received. When he paid the cashier he only recieved half of his change back. When asked about the rest of his change, the cashier declared that he only gave her a $10 bill. My husband explained he only had $20s and asked to speak with the manager on duty after receiving resistance from the cashier. My husband asked for the drawer to be counted and was told by the MOD to leave a name and address so in the event the drawer was really over, the money could be mailed. The MOD refused to count the drawer until the end of the shift. My husband demanded the MOD count the drawer immediately and threatened to call the police. The drawer was finally counted and determined to be over the declared amount. The MOD matter of factly explained to my husband that the drawer was off but by less then the amount claimed. He said my husband was only getting his proper change back because the drawers cash total was in fact, incorrect. The MOD was rude, unpleasant and was almost angry that my husband was determined to be right. The manager made it a point to tell my husband that the drawer wasn't off by the amount my husband claimed and was very snooty about it. This cashier and manager just didn't want to admit that they were wrong. Cashiers make mistakes and when it is found that the customer wasn't given the proper change after a drawer is counted, simply apologize for the inconvenience and give the proper change back. There was no need for the attitude from either the cashier or the manager. Both employees took it as if it was a personal insult when accused of giving the wrong change back. Then to ask for an address to mail the proper change just adds insult to injury because there is a very good chance that he never would have seen that money again. This is all too bad and doesn't make us want to visit this place again...
Read moreIt’s unfortunate that I have to give this 1 star review as I WAS a regular customer here, the food is great, good enough for me and my entire office building to eat at twice a week. Unfortunately the customer service is terrible, specifically from the owners wife (the owner himself is wonderful). I was charged extra money for items that I did not order or want. After pointing out the mistake I was only refunded a partial amount, being told that the physical menus did not have the correct prices and that I needed to use the pricing on their online menu (I think they were hoping I’d drop it, but I checked their online menu) The online menu confirmed that I was still owed change which i was not given. The amount of money was fairly trivial as well, I would have left the full amount of change as an additional tip if given the correct amount just for doing the right thing, but unfortunately being told I was wrong over and over lost them a big customer, no one at my office will be eating here in the future because of the service received. The issue was not at all about the money, but simply the principle that they should have tried to fix...
Read moreOwners son was loud, rude & Obnoxious to us when he asked how our experience was when we told him the truth. Our diner was incomplete, table was dirty after I put my purse On it, waitress didn't ask how our Food was but slammed the check down & walked away. We wanted to order desert but we couldn't get her attention. Not a pleasant experience at all. We usually visit every 3 weeks and never had a problem. But when you're the owner and you ask how things were don't call me a liar and say you don't believe me. My husband was so upset and he walked Out. If you don't want To hear the truth then why do you ask me for my opinion. You lost a sale Because we wanted desert and your staff didn't want to be bothered. If I was the owner I'd want to know how my staff treated my customers The owners young son needs to have better manners if he wants a Career in the restaurant business. We haven't gone Back since We Miss Going there because The food is Good. But we were embarrassed by his loud voice and telling us he didn't believe us!!?? Why...
