Cream & Crepes Cafe — Restaurant in Southlake

My wife got the new flavor crema something... forgot the name but it was basically a waffle with creme and strawberries. Waffles are terrible 😫 way to thick, could barely slice through it. Tasted more like a unappetizing cake. Don't expect it to be light and fluffy or like a Belgian waffle. Think of it as you just tried to warm up day old waffles but left them in the microwave too long... with waffles u also get a scoop of ice cream. The scoop was pre-made but didn't taste great..

I got the Strawberry, banana and Nutella crepe. Yes it was topping heavy but for me I love Nutella so I enjoyed all the toppings. I'm more of a sauce with a side of entree person lol. It wasn't bad but the crepe was a bit more on the thick side for me. There was also chocolate cake crumbles in it. I got a side of chocolate ice cream which was the best part for me overall.

We also wanted to try a lemon bar. It wasn't bad, but not worth the money.

The service was great. But the shop is small so not very much space for seating.

Based on the reviews I had high expectations for this place. I hate to leave a bad review for any establishment but unfortunately my experience was beyond disappointing.

Positives: While the ice cream seemed limited to very generic flavors, there are a variety of combinations you can make with crepes/waffles that are quite good.

Negatives: The price is exorbitant for what you receive. $17 for a single small crepe and half a scoop of ice cream? Customer service was almost nonexistent. Impolite and seemed inconvenienced by our presence. 3 employees were working and we waited 15min with only one other customer in the store before our order was finally started. Several groups of families came and left for this reason. Unacceptable Hygiene. Gloves weren’t always used and when I finally received my order there were beard hairs in the food. Another family seated next to us found hair in their ice cream as well. Almost $30 for two people and was too disgusted...

Okay so not sure why this is getting 5 star reviews. It’s not bad at all folks but here is my feedback.

There is no space at all to dine in unless you call 2 small chairs inside dine in space. Not sure how you can eat crepes or waffles in the summer outside with no place to sit. You can walk outside eating ice cream and shakes but half their menu you need a place to sit.

I had the Texas pecan sundae. It was really good and I would get it again.

We also had the coconut cake slice. The cake portion was super dry and no way would we order cake again.

It’s a super small space for prep as well so if you come with a crowd you will definitely be waiting.

So all in all just 3 stars. One dish was good and one was not. More of order to go place. But even if you order to go it’s still just one line. So there are operational items...
