I've been very eager to try CraftWay due to the stellar reviews as well as the diverse menu. Usually highly rated restaurants hit the mark, however I left extremely disappointed and confused what everyone else has been experiencing.
We ordered the CW Smash Cheeseburger with brussels sprouts instead of fries, the Crispy Chicken Cobb Salad, and a couple of kids cheeseburgers. The smash burger looked appetizing at first glance, however the large bun lacked flavor and turned out to just be a lot of dried bread. The meat itself was fine, however it was topped with produce akin to what you topped your burger with at Fuddruckers. Generic shredded lettuce, a couple slices of tomato, onions, and possibly some housemade pickles. It tasted like they know that smashburgers are trendy but have never had a good one, so they just made the most generic burger possible. The kids burgers had the same large, dry buns with a single smash patty on it for a terrible meat-to-bun ratio. The skinny fries that came with the kids meal were plain and generic fries. Finally, the crispy chicken cobb salad (which we requested with the dressing on the side) had the dressing on it and then more on the side, as well as low quality lettuce, eggs, bacon, tomatoes, blue cheese, and avocado. The chicken was well breaded but so thin that you barely had any actual meat with each bite that was a little tough.
For the price, this was such a let down and I hope that perhaps we just ordered the wrong items. That said, for me the quality of produce says a lot about a restaurant and I'm skeptical that this was just...
Read moreWe arrived at precisely 11:15 am and didn’t leave until 1:30 pm, and to say we were disappointed would be an understatement. This was our first visit, and we won’t be coming back. It took an hour for our order to arrive, and when our food finally arrived(I ordered ribs), the server handed me the hot plate from across the table and said, “Can you grab this?” instead of placing it directly in front of me on the table. She did the same with my daughter’s meal, and in the rush, my daughter nearly dropped her plate because she hadn’t fully grasped it.
After we had been waiting so long, the manager offered us a sampler (just one piece of shrimp and one piece of asparagus), but then they tried to charge us for it until I pointed out that it was meant to be a complimentary sample. Only then did they remove the charge.
When it was time to settle the bill, I told the server we were ready, but once again, we found ourselves waiting—this time for another 20 minutes—with no sign of her. Frustrated, I approached the manager. She turned around, looking annoyed, and simply said, “I know,” before handing me an incorrect bill.
The food was just average, ribs and chicken sandwich really dry, mac n cheese was salty and watery. The overall experience, combined with the lengthy 2.5-hour wait and such poor service, left us feeling quite frustrated. We will definitely not...
Read moreWe were attending the soft opening, visited the bar for a bit and then sat and had dinner. Just can’t say enough great things about our time there. Every single person on the staff was so kind and inviting. They are all about giving amazing service while being laid back and genuine about it. It’s very refreshing.
The host even walked back our guests to meet us at the table. Kyle at the bar took the time to talk with us for a minute and was such a nice guy. The food was incredible, period. Our table had the beef Wellington, smash burger , chicken and fig sandwich, and the steak salad. All of them were delicious and everyone loved the restaurant and their food. I was blown away by how well my beef Wellington was made. We had dessert and took most of that home we were so full. Thank you Craftway for a wonderful time and the absolutely delicious dinner! We will be...
