This is the second time I’ve been to the sandwich shop, sandwiches do not disappoint. They are very delicious & pricey on the other hand rude demeanor to a customer walking in. It’s not good for business. I don’t care who you are if you own the place or you work there as the manager And that’s what happened today when my son and I went in to go purchase lunch for the family, some very tall, big man came out of the back with an attitude saying are y’all ready. And not asking in a polite way, my son placed the order paid for it, and we waited for a sandwiches to be made while another elderly couple walked in and they were greeted, and they placed their order at the time when ours was coming out in the rude gentleman behind the counter said here you go not thank you for coming in for your business. Have a nice day. Yeah I don’t. I don’t know if I’ll go back the fact that we walked into that establishment today and spent our money so you can live your lifestyle the way you want to. You should go back to business school to learn how to treat customers...
Read moreI ordered the shrimp po boy. It was good but I was expecting the shrimp to be cooked to order. It appears already cooked and then thrown into the microwave upon order. Also, there aren’t any fries to be ordered. Lastly, when I walked in the place there was nobody up front and when they appeared there was no friendly greeting just a stare at me until I ordered. These are all not a huge deal but it’s why I gave it 3 starts because there is room for improvement. I drove about 25 minutes to come check this place out based on reviews but I’ll be honest I won’t be going out of my way to come here unfortunately there are better places to get a shrimp po boy.
Response to owner - Well noted, I did say I enjoyed the food. I didn’t see or hear any shrimp getting fried up when I ordered the po boy but I’m glad to know you guys care about fresh quality food. I will have to come back for another visit so I can hopefully...
Read moreYou guys who say this isn't an "Original" Antone's have lost your mind. This IS an original one. The ones in the supermarket and now being made at Minute Maid Park are NOT original ones .. they are copycat fakes and don't taste anything like the original. Even the wrapping was just like the wrapping of the ones sold at the Taft location years ago until he became Paulie's. The ones at the grocery store and Minute Maid Park never used the original wrapping, nor use the original bread or pickles. They call themselves "the famous" poboy which is famous in their own mind cuz there is nothing famous about them other than trying to be a knockoff of the ORIGINAL. I remember eating at the original down on Taft for years and it was amazing JUST like this place. Thank god Paulie's is still here cranking out THE ORIGINAL ANTONE'S POBOYS!! It's just a shame that he had to remove the...
