Lucky Burger — Restaurant in Southwest Ranches

What a wonderful place this is! I was craving a good burger and started checking on restaurants in the area. I noticed I had been to most of the highly rated spots except this one. Grabbed the family and drove to Flamingo Road only to find the most unique spot in Broward. An empty lot with three food trucks, dimly lit, good music and delicious smells. We went straight to the Lucky Burger truck and were immediately welcomed with big smiles. We sat down, looked at the menu and ordered some tequeños and iced tea (Nestea de durazno para los venezolanos) while we decided what to order. We were told everything was made fresh so we needed to be patient and the owner brought us UNO cards. I thought that was such a brilliant idea! We played, laughed our butts off until the food arrived. We ordered a bit of everything. The tequeños were pure perfection, my burger was absolutely delicious, probably the best Ive had in a while; my husband ordered the arepas appetizer and he couldn’t be any more pleased. They were crunchy, filled with delicious meats and cheese. My daughter ordered the picanha and we all tasted it since it was such a generous dish: superb as well! Her boyfriend ordered the pepito, it was twice the size of his head and also very flavorful and made with high quality ingredients. I could have given this place six stars if I could. I had such a great experience at this restaurant! From the moment we sat down, the service was absolutely amazing, super friendly and attentive. One really fun and unique touch was that they gave us UNO cards to play with while we waited for our food. Such a cool idea that made the wait fly by! The food wow!! I ordered a classic burger, and with the first bite, I was immediately taken back to the flavors of home in Venezuela. It was juicy, flavorful, and just perfectly done. Truly comfort food at its best. Also they have bacon and corn sauce. And if that wasn’t enough, they also offer free refills of Nestea, which was a nice and refreshing bonus. Tried the cheeseburger and fries. Burger was juicy and well done (no pink). The flavor was consistent and food came out quickly. I recommend the garlic sauce or corn sauce with your fries for bold and sweet flavors between each bite of burger. The staff was friendly and service was prompt with quaint outdoor seating under strong that made for a cozy and nostalgic feel of July backyard bbq. Caution for English only speakers that the staff only spoke Spanish but menus were available in English and all sauces are labeled in both language.
