Rumbi Island Grill — Restaurant in Spanish Fork

Do yourself a favor and go to another Rumbi Island Grill location. I really like Rumbi Island Grill except this one in Spanish Fork. I have been to other locations many times. I really like the Caribbean Chicken & Shrimp Entree. I ordered over the phone and picked up my order about 10 minutes later. I decided to eat at the restaurant, and when looking at my entree, I felt like the amount of Citrus Aioli sauce was almost non-existent. This wasn't a big deal, I thought, so I went up and asked for a little more and was told by the manager it would be an extra charge. I showed him my bowl and the lack of the sauce that makes me feel like $15.99 is worth it. He said, "I'm sorry, that is our policy." I was in shock at the response. My wife was with me and saw the whole thing. I refused to pay extra for a little extra sauce and will never go back to Spanish Fork Rumbi Island Grill. I will also tell everybody I know of my terrible experience. As I'm eating my bland meal, I had a chicken bone about 1" long go between my teeth. The manager was walking by, and I brought it to his attention. He gave me full credit for the meal because of the bone, but I would rather have had a little extra sauce. I love the food at this place. However, I didn't have a good visit today. There is this guy with long hair that does not like kids clearly. My son and I were finishing our order when my son turned around and kick a small picture frame ( located next to register) with his shoulder by accident. The frame was still over the counter, it was intact. This guy told my 7 year old that he has to pick it up and my son replied that he didn't do it, ( because he didn't even noticed it and I didn't either) the guy insisted twice, and I wouldn't mind kindly ask my son to pick it up but it was just the way he looked at him and the cold and immature way to request something, cashier even forgot that I was still ordering food and he didn't offer me options o gave me suggestions when I said I was looking for a small plate from the menu. I've been to places where cashiers are nicer and they wouldn't care to pick it up themselves, it was a total kid accident with no serious consequences. He ruined my lunch and I just don't feel comfortable being a place where someone is so cold and rude to kids. By the way, my son is a very polite kid, but I will never force him to do something when someone is so rude....

Ordered online for the first time here. Won't do that again. We chose curbside pickup and put in the vehicle description. It said to pick up in 30 minutes. We were already in the parking lot because we'd just finished shopping at another store. Didn't realize it would take so long to do the online order. So we headed to another shopping center to kill time. Came back a few minutes early. No one came out to deliver our food. Finally went in to pickup after a couple minutes. Not a single customer was in the store. Picked up the food and went home. Looked at the tag. Our food was ready 3 minutes after we ordered it. We could have just picked up right away. The 1 teriyaki bowl with extra chicken we paid 17 bucks for was cold, way too small, and had regular sauce instead of spicy. My husband says we'll never go there again. Sad, but I have to agree. Used to eat here...
