Took my dog in today to get his second round of rabies shots. I set up the appointment online and everything was good there. We took him here last year with no problems. Then we go to the appointment and the lady checking us in somehow doesn't have our info at all. Not too big of a deal there, we just gave it to her again. Then, and just saying my dog has anxiety around bigger/other dogs getting too close to his face because he's been jumped on by other dogs not on leashes, the lady sees that my dog is stressed out but says instead that "he is not okay" and makes us put a muzzle on him, take his harness off, and put a different leash and collar around his neck which ended up choking him because he moves a lot and pulls collars, which is why we had the harness in the first place -_- and to top it all off she says that no one is allowed in with my dog and the vet due to social distancing, even though there were 4 other people inside with the vet and my dog. Now my dog is visibly uncomfortable and scared being alone with these strangers holding him on the floor but there's nothing we can do. I get it, social distancing, but when the animal is obviously scared and having accidents due to fear it might not be a bad idea to let one owner inside with it to calm it down.
And finally, they pressured us into getting his yearly shots done there (we usually do them ourselves) and gave him the wrong rabies shot. We came in for the 3 year shot and they gave him the 1 year again because the lady checking us in ignored us when we told her more than once that he'd already had his 1 year shot.
After all of that stress, my dog is still happy as ever and that's all I can ask for. But I will NEVER visit this Petco Vet...
Read moreNot impressed with staff at all! Me and the 2 people I was with all got treated very poorly by all staff members working on Saturday 10/6/2024. They all had very bad attitudes, when I asked for assistance I got a sigh and an attitude from cashier, and then when the woman who came to help me she was very blunt and rude to me and my 2 friends. She acted as if she was too busy doing price changes to want to help me or any other customer for that matter. THEN as she was already helping me, another older lady walked up and made her way in to our conversation and had an even worse attitude and was trying to explain why I should and shouldn't get what I was looking for. Then finally I was over it so I decided to go check out with the very few items I had, there was a line of about 4 families waiting to be checked out and leave and only 1 cashier who didn't seem to care that he had a line. Then the older lady walked up and was talking to him while he was trying to check out his first customer in line and she didn't even bother to help at the other register to get the line going and people helped. I am very annoyed with this certain staff. My 2 friends I was with, as well as myself will not be returning to this store due to the way we got treated. Hope this can be fixed, because that was an awful experience. I've worked retail for as long as I can remember and I would NEVER treat customers like this. How horrible. Read moreI used to love this store, I would shop there all the time for the birds and dogs I have however after my experience yesterday I will never be returning and I suggest no one else does either. I went to buy another parakeet yesterday, I asked a female associate (I didn’t get their names so I’ll call her associate A) a few questions and then I began browsing their selection. I picked out the bird i wanted and found another female associate on her phone next to the birds (associate B). I asked B to assist me in getting the bird out and she said she needed to go get a net but would be right back. I waited for this associate for almost TWENTY minutes (there were no others I could see around at this point). I went to the front where there was no longer a line and asked a male associate to help me (associate A was standing near him). He came and helped me, got the bird for me, and helped me with the appropriate paperwork. He directed me back to the front and I was met by associate A again who now had a very bad attitude with me and told me “I have been here three hours past my shift”, she had thought I was complaining about her when I asked the male associate for help. She then treated me very badly the rest of the transaction. Very poor customer service.
