This was by far one of the worst hotels I have stayed at in quite some time and I travel 50% of the time for a living. It was one of the dirtiest hotels I can recall. The carpet turned your feet black and it was noticeable when I stepped into the shower. The front desk was absolutely zero help and had no desire to assist in issues. Just plain lazy and rude. I had an incident where something got on the floor. I asked the front desk for help and even offered if housekeeping didn't want top clean it just please drop off some cleaning materials. I left for 3 hours, returned and nothing was done. I called down again to the front desk and was told sorry they didn't have anything to help and if I wanted just use a towel and scrub it up. The issues even started at check in where I asked for extra towels and toiletries to be left in the room. The front desk guy said "oh I haven't had time to take those up but here you can have them now." He proceeded to give me a stack of linens and toiletries as I had several bags to take up as well. Also it is important to note here that the hotel had zero people visible and the parking lot was pretty empty at this point. I don't know. maybe there everyone had just walked out the door and he really was busy.
I have stayed at several Hampton's in my travels because sometimes there just is not a Marriott where I am going. This was by far the worst. This was enough to say that I should NEVER stray from Marriott again which came with good timing because it was this month I was debating on swapping my Marriott card and accounts to a Hilton.
This hotel actually has a great location relative to the area. Nice restaurants and amenities near by. Its a shame it is such a poor hotel.
Summary: *Rude staff. Does not care to assist or give customer service. *Not Clean. Carpets were filthy. Floor was dirty. *Good Point: Breakfast was pretty nice. Bananas were atrocious and old, but the other fruit was nice. This was the highlight...
Read moreI thought I was really going to enjoy my stay at this hotel, it was clean and pretty and just felt good, but what they kept from me when requesting a room, was that my wall and the kitchen wall were the same, so after only four hours of sleep, I was rudely awakened by lots of banging and slamming of cupboards and things getting thrown around in the kitchen while they prepped for breakfast at 4:00am. after listening to it for 20 minutes to a half an hour I finally got up and got dressed to go to the front desk only to be greeted by the guy who was making the noises with not much of an apology he just said oh I'm making breakfast. Much to my disappointment when I checked out at 6:00 a.m. since I could no longer sleep he only offered to take $20 off of my already outrageously priced room for the night. Not impressed with this stay at all. So I paid almost $200 to stay the night on a Thursday night mind you, and get only four hours of sleep to be rudely awakened by all sorts of noise. Not impressed. Not impressed. Paul... Please learn some people skills and be way way more quiet when "prepping for breakfast." Maybe.... Y'all should discount that room greatly, like $50 a night and let the people know that they will be sharing a wall with the kitchen and that there will be noise coming from there...
Read moreIt's been the best and most thoughtful layout of any hotel of any class anywhere. We especially appreciated that the abundance of fluffy towels and high quality bathroom products were actually in reach! This is often an epic fail in the "accessibile" rooms of even the nicest hotels. Button controlled window shades were an added bonus. The room door was, however, almost impossible to open. Even though it must meet fire code standards, it should be checked for psi meets ADA guidelines but still compies. ||The entire property was scrupulously clean and very attractive, but it is the helpful staff that really set it apart. Just to name a few: Liv on reception who collected our luggage from our car and got us settled in; Deb on reception next day who also helped with anything else she could; Melanie who loaded us back up to leave; and last but not least, Cassi and Rodolfo who cheerfully presided over the breakfast buffet and assisted everyone who needed a helping hand. ||We chose this location to have our wheelchair van repaired nearby, and now, the next time we need it serviced, we actually look forward to staying...
