I'm a big pizza fan and happened to be visiting Reno on my birthday, so I needed something that was guaranteed to be tasty. While I 100% sold on Boulevard Pizza after doing my research, it sounded like a local favorite and worth a shot.
Based on other reviews, I expected the wait to be a little long and was happy to find that it was pretty regular. They were packed and we found the only available table, but the pizza only took about twenty minutes to come out. My only complaint is that our table was pretty dirty and when I asked for the cashier for a way to clean it, he handed me a wet rag. I'm not grossed out and was fine cleaning it myself, but I think 5-star service would be to have an employee come clean the table for us. That being my only complaint, I loved the family vibes of the restaurant and it was fun to watch kids run around with little toys for the arcade and machines.
The pizza was bomb. 100% exceeded expectations and I wish it was local to my area so that I could go more often. We went with standard pepperoni on half, veggie combo on the other side. Normally, I found that stacking veggies tends to make the crust underneath pretty soggy and I was especially worried that would be the case with a half/half pizza. They completely avoided that issue and the slices were perfectly rigid without being to tough to chew.
I'd give a 5 star review for just the pizza and mozz sticks but the dirty table kinda rubbed me the wrong way. I'd still absolutely recommend Boulevard Pizza to anyone looking for some...

( got home green peppers and onions were not on it. Other half was Hawaiian . Also ordered 12 wings. When we picked up the place was empty yet girl on phone said 25-30 min. We were in Reno when we called to order so we drove around wasting time but in reality we could have picked up in 15. Weâve been going there semi-regularly for a decade. In fact as teenagers we remember when they were on Oddie Blvd as âSHAKEYSâ and then moved and changed their name. For several years we would typically get a large pizza, Rojos and wings and they would give us up to five or six ranch dressing complimentary. Tonight, the young man said they were only allowed to give us two and wanted to charge for each one in addition to that. He said thatâs what they do now. I UNDERSTAND THE NEED TO RAISE PRICES JUST ABOUT EVERYWHERE BUT MY MOTTO IS YOU NEVER RAISE PRICES AND CUT BACK ON PORTION SIZES. And you donât give something out for free for years and then just stop doing that and start charging individually. BTWâWe usually give a tip but weâre glad we didnât since they didnât even get the pizza right. Hereâs the bottom lineâsince the Joe Biden administration came into office, gas prices are back up again, groceries are up 38% in the last two years and salaries have not increased at that rapid pace so donât add insult to injury by...
Read moreLiving down the street and attending Sparks high school, I GREW up on this pizza. If I was recovering from a break up, hung over, or just hungry.. This was my go to place. I talked to my husband about this place and finally decide to go and indulge. He was there about 10 minutes before I was and ordered a bacon and Olive pizza, their "famous" rojos, and wings. My son (2.5 yrs old) wanted to play games. Half of them were broken, dirty, and just didnt work. OH- and WAY OVER PRICED! I went up and ordered a salad from the Salad bar. The staff (not including the bartender) have no customer service and quite frankly BITCHY. No smile or anything. I could literally smell the BO from the cooks behind the counter. Our pizza arrived about an hour later. Hardly any sauce on it and lukewarm like it had been sitting out. Keep in mind, the place was not packed. The wings are ALWAYS good. As for their "FAMOUS" Rojos... GARBAGE! The prices for the pizza, wings, rojos, 1 salad bar, and one drink came to about 35$. I am honestly so sad. This place used to be so good. Their crust used to be crispy like a cracker which I loved and their sauce used to have a hint of sweet. I couldnt taste any of it. I really hope they step up their game. I would like to have the confidence to go back one day.. But I think I will stick with our family...
