Scoopers Drive-in — Restaurant in Sparks

New edit 10-21-23: I've been getting the Super Nachos because they're more than I can eat in a day, they're amazing with beans, hamburger, tortilla chips that taste like they were cooked on a grill! I pay for extra sour cream. It totally fills up the take away box they give it to me, the sides have some bare chips but they're so generous with extra sour cream that it covers almost everything, I walk down and pick some up when I don't want to get groceries over the weekend.

What's not to love? They must pay their employees well because I see the same folks year after year. The food is totally fantastic, tasty hot burgers, onion rings, fries, polish sausage, hot dogs. If you come during a rush time, you won't have to wait long, they prepare in advance for any rush hour there is.

The best thing there is everything is totally customizable, if they have the ingredient, you can mix and match until your heart and stomach are content.

I can't handle milk anymore but when I could, the shakes are extremely thick and delicious, you'll be tapping the bottom of the cup to get every drop! And again, if you want a mix that isn't on the menu, which is unlikely, they have a board full of flavors, but you can tell them what you want mixed and they'll make it. I do put up with the lactose on occasion and eat a shake over 3 days.

Sodas, forget the fountain drinks, they have bottled soda with cane sugar and natural ingredients, if you aren't sure if one is all natural just ask, they're very nice to everyone.

One thing I've never tried is the ice cream cones with a flavor swirl around the outside, but they look like they'd be awesome.

I live a few blocks away, it's a nice walk to build my appetite, great for my taste buds not so great for my BMI, lol! Try them,...

UPDATED!!!!! Awesome everytime!!!! Must try if you love burgers. Update!!!!!!!: as of 9/29/2025 They have got to be under new ownership. We went in the other day for lunch. First thing we noticed was they no longer have all the different root beers and bottled sodas. That should have been enough of a warning for us. But it wasnt. We ordered our normal burgers that we come here for and sat down inside. Our food was out to us surprisingly fast. Which isnt normal for scoopers. We know it takes time to build a great burger. We don't mind that, we want good food. Just like we had thought. The burgers are not the same. I happened to stand up to ask for some condiments and watched in awe as I seen the man on the griddle pull beef patties out of container of water. We don't care about the wait for a fresh grilled burger. We want that griddle taste on there not boiled in water. They changed the fries as well and they suck also. Really hate to see the last good burger joint cutting corners, hopefully the don't end up running this scoopers into the ground like so many original mom and pops eateries have been. We wont be going back for awhile. I'll try again some time later and...

Where do I even start? Scoopers has always been a classic spot for me. The vibe of an old school fashion drive-in burger joint is what I pretty much love the most besides their delicious burgers and incredible milkshakes. Definitely a “to-go-to” spot for me whenever I am in the mood for a burger, Scoopers never disappoints!

I came here for the SecretSparks Burger that consisted of an all Beef Patty, Pastrami, Crispy Fried Onions, Pepper Jack, Housemade Bourbon Sauce and Thousand Island Dressing, a Medium Fry and Medium Soft Drink. This was my first time trying out a burger with pastrami and their housemade bourbon sauce; it had my taste buds going wild! I enjoyed this burger very much with every bite to the point that it was saddening when I was finished with it. The patty was juicy, pepper Jack cheese is my all time favorite, the crispy onions added a slight crunch to it and the sauces were the cherry to the top. What a spectacular burger!!! Thank you very much Scoopers for this burger experience. I’m going to have to get me another one sooner than later.

Highly recommend Scoopers if you haven’t yet. This place is a classic gem here...
