Located across from the Nugget, this was super convenient and a pleasant walk from the hotel. The service I received was impeccable-from helping me select menu items to answering my questions-flawless. I got the vegetable pakora and a Shahi paneer. The pakora were perfect and so flavorful. The paneer on the other hand was pretty bland even though I requested medium spice. I requested some chili flakes or something to spice it up, and they brought me some more of the sauce for my dish-just spicier! Many thanks. Just ate here. Amazing food. We had the somasa platter, palak paneer, and the chicken tikka masala. The garlic naan was hot as it arrived on the table and, while I didn't ask to confirm, I believe they made it rather than reheated something. This place should be packed every day. I've been a fan of Indian food since my two trips to India in the early 00s, and I was not disappointed. Especially kind and solicitous service, great food (and presentation) as noted. A new must try spot in Sparks, NV!! We ate at the Clay Oven during a sort of soft opening and it was absolutely wonderful!!! Everything we tried was delicious - from the appetizers to the entrees - all perfectly done! Be sure to try the Samosas - with a hint of spice, they were so flavorful. The Aloo Baingan was a favorite at our table, while the assorted naan was excellent!! Two people tried the Butter Chicken - one hot, one medium - so, so good!!

Even better than the food was the family running the restaurant. Warm and welcoming!! Excellent service!! We can't wait...
