Tang’s Kitchen in Sparks is the real deal! Walked in hungry, walked out full, happy, and already planning my next order. I had the beef pan-fried noodles—crispy like they just jumped out of the wok doing kung fu. My wife got the Szechuan chicken, and it had just the right kick—like Bruce Lee in a chili pepper costume. We asked for no MSG (trying to keep the heartbeat below hummingbird speed), and they kindly made it fresh without compromising flavor. Respect! The food came out hot, fast, and full of that deep, rich Chinese food magic that makes you question why you ever bothered with microwave orange chicken. Friendly folks, good prices, and food that hits harder than a fortune cookie with actual wisdom in it. Tang’s Kitchen, you have our hearts—and our stomachs. Highly recommend!

Fantastic the Cook is from Sichuan (Szechuan) Province of southwestern China famed for bold flavors, particularly the pungency and spiciness resulting from liberal use of chili peppers, as well as the unique flavor of the Sichuan peppercorn… if you order order on the third page there are traditional Szechuan options. I ordered the fish with ginger on bakchoy. I ordered it because I felt it would be authentic for the chef to cook, and I wasn’t disappointed. This was the most authentic Chinese dish I have had in Reno. The flavor was incredible and the fish super tender and mouth watering. Also Annie the waitress was very fast and very hospitable and friendly.

The portions were large, so that’s cool. The egg rolls were some of the best I’ve ever had. Light and crispy on the outside, good ingredients on the inside. I ordered the crispy orange chicken. It was neither crispy, nor did it have any flavor of orange to be recognized. I also found it weird that it did not come with rice. It was just a giant mound of chicken With three little pieces of broccoli. The chicken was filled with fat and tendon etc. So I had to eat around a lot of of it. It was really not good. I’m not sure that I even finished half of it. Probably won’t be back.

Hi friends! Still on the Vegas wedding trip on our way home. Stopped in Sparks for the night. Googled Tangs and we thank our fellow googler reviewers as we were hankering for Chinese food. Hot and sour soup - an 9 could have had a bit more “stuff in it” flavor was perfect. Egg flower soup a 10. Kung pao chicken combo dinner a 9; Szechuan combo dinner a 10; Mongolian beef combo dinner a 10 and Egg foo young a 10. The best Chinese food we’ve had in years. The restaurant was spotless comfortable and the service excellent.

Thank you so much for helping our trip to be a...
