Alpine Creamery — Restaurant in Sparta Township

We luv luv luv Alpine Creamery! We moved from Ohio & are used to Graeters ice cream. We thought Impossible to beat-old french pot method. Super rich smooth creamiest ever & giant chunks of chocolate or fruit etc. We have never experienced anything similar until Alpine. And i hate to admit it but, on a recent trip home tasting our old fav...I realized its gotten so big & is now made more commercially & has a ton of sugar.😕 You taste more of the granules & its a wee to sweet.

Alpine...you know its FRESH and yummy homemade, super duper creamy. The gals always give generous scoops for your money! And we have stood in line with 15 guests but they pound out the orders so efficiently that the line really moves fast- so dont be intimidated by a sidewalk full of eager customers lol! They have all the classic flavors and some nifty fun flavors too. I am hooked right now on coffee caramel chip & it has big chunks of chocolate so large they require some good chomping! My husband loves classic strawberry & it just reminds you of childhood daily made fresh fruit ice cream only a lil creamier! My job as a kid was to crank the handle on our ice cream machine in the summer mornings to churn the recipe my gramma made up. It burned my tiny arm muscles lol. Its much nicer to just drive to Alpine Creamery nowadays.👍😎 GREAT PRODUCT FOR VERY FAIR PRICE AND AMAZINGLY FAST AND FRIENDLY SERVICE. Getting harder to find that today in Americas customer...

So I decided to try this place. I ordered some peppermint stick ice cream that i was very excited about. So as I'm eating it, I get a taste of another ice cream. Ok mistakes happen. I take a few more bites and I come across a dead mosquito. I flick it out with my spoon again gross..Then my daughter asks for a taste i go to the other side of the ice cream and up comes a long piece of hair with my spoon. You would think I would've noped out by this point, right?! But no, my love for peppermint stick ice cream is too strong. I eat a few more bites and what is waiting for me? All bunched together, a dead fly, a dead mosquito, and hair. It seemed like something out of a movie or some candid camera thing. But sadly, no one came out telling me i was on candid camera. I threw out my ice cream and was doing everything I could to not vomit (that would've been a show as my wife is pregnant and would've vomited from me vomiting) Thankfully, I managed to hold it down.. Needless to say, I will not be...

Been a few years since(2022) I have scouted this location for the Golden Cone App..Last visit was not so memorable, but this visit was a 5 star visit. I know they have been working hard on constant improvement and that hard work is paying off. I just picked a radom flavor with Graham Cracker Cheesecake and it was fantastic. Close to a perfect score as you can get. I had some ice cream at event off their new truck, which was good, but this flavor was top not ch. Not sure if many people order this flavor or not, but will be on my order list on my next visit....
