I was reading previous reviews and seeing this chick fil a is still having the same problems from 6 months ago up to more than a year ago. First off, every employee I have encountered as a customer or DoorDash driver has been friendly and polite to me. I can't complain about that. Curbside pickup takes forever. I waited 10 mins after it said my order was ready and someone was bringing it to me and by the time I got it my food was barely warm. They brought it out with a large container filled with other people's orders and some of those people showed up way after me. I guess they wait until everyone's meal who is doing curbside pickup is finished being made before bringing any of it out? Drivethru pickup is no better. Ordered ahead on the app and had to do drive thru due to weather and it said my order was ready while I was still at the very beginning of the line, took me 15 mins to get to the window and my biscuits were cold and hard when I finally got them. Ordering via mobile, you don't seem to win at this location. There has to be a better way to manage this.
I have also thought for years that they really need to redo this chick fil a because the amount of traffic they get during rush backs up into E. Main, keeps people from entering that way into the shopping center and inconveniences people on the main rd. It has been this way for YEARS. Either redo the layout of the chick fil a to accommodate for the amount of customers you get or put in a permanent second drive thru... Just do something! Spartanburg's drive thru chick fil a got the message, why can't they do it here? Who do we have to talk to to get this done? I am pretty sure there are a plethora of people who would willing to sign a...
Read moreDon't bother applying here if you are a hard worker, down on your luck, about to homeless and aren't Christian. I have gone to this Chick-Fil-A for years and since I have generally had good experiences here, I thought it might be a good place to work. Wrong! The hiring manager at this location specifically asked me during my interview if I had church affiliations and if I participated in church functions in my spare time. The way the manager asked is basically a narrow loop hole in the interview question laws to get the information they want. Am I a Christian or do I go to church? I feel that was what she really wanted to know. You can't directly ask an interviewee what their religion is, that's illegal and discriminatory. So they just ask what you do in your spare time and if you volunteer for a church in your spare time. I said "No I haven't been to church in several years" because I did go as a kid against my will. After I said that to the manager interviewing me, she smirked and the interview then proceeded to end quickly and I felt she decided then not to even consider me for employment, simply because I phrased it as I might not be religious or I didn't participate in Bible school, Christian athletics or volunteered at church in my spare time. I feel that I was discriminated against simply because I'm not religious. I have refused to eat at any Chick-Fil-A since and will continue to not eat at any Chick-Fil-A. You need to switch up your interview questions before you get potentially sued. It shouldn't matter what an employee does with their spare time as long as they come to work on time...
Read moreI've lived all over the upstate, and have always been near a chick-fil-a. This is without a doubt the WORST chick-fil-a I've ever visited on a consistent basis. It's truly unbelievable. I live 10 minutes away from this one, and have opted to visit the other CFA on the Westside that is 15+ minutes away because I ALWAYS am home quicker than going to this one.
Though I had made the switch over several months ago, this morning I decided to give the Main Street one another try. I ordered two CFA biscuit meals, nothing crazy or out of the ordinary. When I got to the window I was asked to pull forward and told they would walk my food out to me. I was immediately annoyed because I'd seen this movie before. I sat parked at the crosswalk for fifteen minutes as I counted NINE cars who got their orders before mine was walked out. I wish I could say this was a one-off bad experience that could've happened to anyone, yet unfortunately this kind of experience is consistent with what I've seen at this CFA.
From seeing reviews of other peoples' experience, this is clearly a leadership issue. If these problems are consistently happening while other CFAs just a few miles away present no issues with a staff mostly made up of teenagers, that screams leadership failure. Perhaps the worst part of all of it is that no one in leadership seems to care or make any effort to make changes. If you are located somewhere that the Ezell Blvd CFA is less than 20 minutes away, I PROMISE you will have a better experience. Main Street just isn't...
