THIS ENVIRONMENT IS ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. NOT WELCOMING AT ALL. I AM EXTREMELY ALLERGIC TO SEAFOOD. MEANING I CANT EAT IT AT ALL SO I WOULD GET SIDES BECAUSE MANY TIMES BEFORE THEY TOLD ME EVERYTHING WAS COOKED SEPARATE WHICH I BELIEVED IT WAS BC I NEVER HAD ANY PROBLEMS WITH MY FOOD. BUT WHEN THIS NEW MANAGEMENT TOOK OVER…EVERYTHING STARTED TO GO DOWN HILL.THE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THE FOOD. I STARTED HAVING SHRIMP AND CRAWFISH TAILS IN MY BAGS AND CANE SEVERELY CLOSE TO EATING IT.WHEN I WOULD TELL MY SERVER THAT I HAD THIS PROBLEM THEY WOULD ALWAYS SAY “WELL I DON’T KNOW HOW BC ITS ALL COOKED SEPARATELY”. AFTER THOSE INCIDENTS HAPPENED I STARTED TO BRING MY OWN FOOD IN. I DIDN'T HAVE ANY PROBLEMS BC I TOLD THEM WHAT HAD HAPPENED AND IT WAS ALL OKAY. TODAY MY FRIEND AND I WALKED IN THE LADY AT THE FRONT DESK CAME AROUND THE CORNER WHILE ON THE PHONE AND PROCEEDED TO GIVE US THE FINGER. SHE ASKED HOW MANY WND MY FRIEND SPOKE FOR HERSELF AND SAID ONE. THE LADY PROCEEDED TO GIVE MY FRIEND BER MENU AND ASK IF WE WANTED A BOOTH OR AN TABLE. WE SAID BOOTH.SHE ASKED WHICH ONE AND WE SAID IN THE BACK AS WE WERE GETTING READY TO GO SIT DOWN SHE SAID THERE WAS NO SERVER FOR WHERE WE WANTED SO SHE TOOK A TABLE SHE WALKED US THERE AND SAT US DOWN. AFTER ABOUT 10 MINUTES SHE CAME BACK AND TOLD MY FRIEND THAT THEY WOULDN’T SERVE HER BC I HAD OUTSIDE FOOD. NOTICE HOW I SAID THEY TOLD HER THEY WOULDN’T SERVE HER BECUSE I HAD OUTSIDE FOOD. THERE FOR I ASK SPOKE UP AND ASKED A MANAGER. OUTCOME THE “MANAGER” I ASKED HIM IF IT WAS A PROBLEM AND HE SAID YES IN THE MOST NON CARING WAY POSSIBLE. I WAS STILL TRYING TO GET AN UNDERSTANDING OF THE SITUATION. HE JUST KEPT SAYING WE CANT THEY COULDN'T SERVE HER BECAUSE OF ME. SOI PROCEEDED TO GO OUTSIDE TO EAT MY FOOD SO THEY COULD SERVE HER. IT HAD BEEN 20-25 MINUTES AFTER THAT SHE CAME OUT AND SAID THE SERVER HAD BEEN OVER TO THE TABLE BEHIND US 3 TIMES BUT HER DRINK ORDER WAS STILL YET TO BEEN TAKEN. Freddy was just the best server you could ask for and knows how to sell the food. If you want to have some of the greatest seafood and some of the greatest host go on down and get you some. This is going to be a great place for Spartanburg. 2/2/24=Took my wife out for our 31st anniversary so we could have a great time. This is the best place you can take someone that you really care about. The food is just extremely well and delicious. The staff is the best in the world. Freddy my friend you are just the best. Read moreMy wife and I were early very happy repeat customers to the Hillcrest location About 2 weeks ago we arrived about 7:15 PM. The host quickly greeted us but then left us standing by an empty (used) table for minutes until she bussed another booth. Multiple tables and booths open but the booths needed cleaning.Ok…. Then we waiting over 10 minutes and had to go ask for a server. Hummm… didn’t look busy? Places drink order and waited another 10 minutes, then I went to bar and got our drinks. Bartender pleasant and apologized. Another 5-10 minutes and waved our server down. Not helpful but took our order. Waited and waited. Asked for our meal after other tables served. Same throughout evening so we asked for the manager and explained our service and frustration. He simply didn’t show any concern at all nor apologize. It it had been my establishment I’d have comped at least the drink, probably the entire meal. We’d recommended Joy just prior so called and said Nope. We won’t go back. It’s a shame as we would have been loyal customers. Oh, I usually leave 20-30% gratuity. Left one penny for the second time in my life. Oh well….hope you have...
