Dudley's — Restaurant in Spartanburg

If I could give a negative ⭐ star I swear I would!!!! I have never in my 18 years of being an adult been discriminated on until tonight 3/08/2018 We ordered drinks and in the same process tried to order food but the bartender kept walking off serving other patrons, we knew what we wanted to order but had to get her attention to order 7.15pm we waited had to get her attention for every drink we needed additionally totaling 4 drinks 2 for her and 2 for me we asked twice what was taking so long I ordered the seafood platter ( fried) and my lady ordered the salmon grilled with no pecan topping and the bourbon glaze on the side our bar tender said at first after this to-go order our order was next so 3 orders later after the to-go order for patrons who came in after us including the guy with the clemson outfit on that came in after us got his shrimp po-boy with fries and we still hadn't received anything... well here it is now 819pm and our food still hadn't come so by now my Son starts calling ready to be picked up from basketball practice so we asked again if it was ready.. low and behold the cook hadn't even started on our order so we canceled it paid for our drinks and left we called back to talk to the manager got hung up on called back after that that and asked for the owner or district manager and was told the owner was there but didn't wanna talk so we returned to speak with the owner.... I walked In the bartender recognised me 'smerked' and I asked to speak to the manager or owner and if I could use the restroom the hostess said yes the owner is on his way would I sit at the table across from the hostess booth and wait I told her yes I don't mind so I went and sat.... to make a long story short the police arrived instead of the owner and we were told we that the workers had said we skipped out on our bill threatened them and returned to do damage... I showed the officer my receipt in which i paid with a debit card (thank God) explained to him how we were looked over repeatedly.. and he assigned us a TRESPASS FOR 5 YEARS AND WE WERE ASKED TO LEAVE.... I don't understand how everyone around us were served and we were given poor service and a trespass and there were no threats or any type of disorderly conduct...

All you can eat crab legs? Well I got one plate of them. The owner comes and tells me he will take it off and to order whatever I would like to go and he would take care of it. Turns out he was full of it. They didn't charge me for the 1/5 all you can eat crab legs, but charged me for my to go item even after he said it would be taken off (server and my friends I was with confirmed I was not hearing things, he really said that). Also, all my friends were charged FULL PRICE when they couldn't honor the all you can eat special. 36 bucks for all you can eat and they were lucky to get a third serving. Pathetic. The owner made no attempt to take care of them either. Also, found out the owner makes servers pay out of their own pockets for situations where the food is comped. Also they were closed all last week because the head chef and or cooks quit because of how he treats employees which is really irrelevant to my situation but tells me a lot about the owner. So to recap, they screwed us on all you can eat at 36 each, and lied when he said he would take care of me and also did NOTHING for rest of table that was jipped. We come a lot, and we speND a lot of money there, and we won't ever be back. Word will spread about the quality of employment and service in reference to the owner. Just terrible. No way to run a restaurant. One guy I was with is VERY important and connected in this community, and he won't forget an experience like tonight. Just a shame.

Lastly, see his replies on Google to some of the bad reviews. Tells a lot about him, not to mention the anonymous reviews that were 5 star that all came in same day or week. Just silly. Really don't know...

Friendly service and incredible food are found here. I ordered the filet with wedge salad and pimento cheese grits. The filet was cooked a perfect medium and was so tender and tasty. The wedge salad came with almonds, tomatoes, and super crunchy bacon which was fresh and delicious. The pimento cheese grits were smooth, creamy and delectable with just the right amount of kick from the pimento cheese. I was totally full because I also ate the garlic cheese biscuits that come with the meal as well. The waiter offered dessert and I am a huge fan of lemon cake so, of course, I just had to try it since everything else was so good. And the cake did not disappoint....it was fabulous! A beautiful presentation, indeed, with raspberry sauce carefully swirled on the plate with a generous slice of one of the most moist cakes I have ever eaten. Homemade with lemon zest icing and triple layered it was full of lemon flavor and just, well....yummy! The owner stopped at our table on a busy Friday night to ask how our experience was and answered my questions about the lemon cake, homemade by his sister. Well done from start to finish, including great service from our waiter who was consistent checking on us without being intrusive. I live out of town and drove an hour to dine here.
