Waffle House — Restaurant in Spartanburg

My partner and I came to the Waffle House. We are always disappointed when we come to this location but the service we received this time takes the cake.

There were 2 tables seating in the whole restaurant. Just us and another table. Store was not busy at all. We were not greeted upon arrival. Not a big deal but when another customer comes in and receives a big greeting. I assume he is a regular.

As soon as we were seated we hear the workers complaining about their paychecks. “I am tired of my paycheck looking like $135-$200” “I asked my daddy if he has some kind of trust fund for me so that I can stop working. He just laughed.”

We order our food, our food comes out quick and what we had was delicious! Our orders were switched. Like eggs and toast. No big deal we switched it. We also never received our waffles. You come to Waffle House and don’t receive a waffle?! Regardless it shows lack of attention to detail. We didn’t get a refill on our drinks. Our server didn’t check on us. So I guess waffles are optional at Waffle House.

Then when it was time to pay we just asked for our waffles that they forgot to serve us to go. The person who put our waffles on the waffle iron decided that was the time to make a personal phone call. The waffle iron continued to beep like the waffle was done and started to smell like burning. We usually tip well. People often assume that minorities don’t tip well. Well I enjoy tipping well for good service. We still tipped. But I believe every customer should be treated equally.

I don’t think we will be coming back to this location. I am only leaving this as a reminder to not come back to...

I came into the establishment and the Asian cook was playing trap music walking in the door from the back of the building .It appears he was smoking.I was thinking that he would turn the music down as he entered the building.I looked at the waitress and asked is he going to turn the music down and she said she didn't know as she just got there.Her name was Amethyst.I told her to hat the music was too loud and I probably wouldn't eat here.I asked who the Manage was and they said Rebecca ,but she wasn't there yet.The cook touched his shirt where his phone was and I assumed he was adjusting the volume.So I told Amethyst that I would eat my food there as I didn't want to eat my All Star meal in my car .The cook said order up and I saw my food being packed in to go containers as the cook continued to blast his music.I said I was going to complain to management as I have never experienced this kind of blatant disrespect for a customer in my times of going to a waffles use establishment.The music went from Tupac,to the dream to reggae as he continued to scroll through his music list.Very unprofessional and rude and no one seemed to care.I was the first customer and the staff just cooked their own meals and sat down to eat like...

I walked in around 9:12am and sat at the counter, the staff were nice and all but when it came to the food and the price I was confused…… I didn’t say anything cause I’m just a customer but every time I go to Waffle House and order 2 sausage biscuits they always come up to about $6.00 even (winch on the menu I looked at all the biscuits were $3.00) and she even asked if I didn’t want cheese, so why was I charged $7.50 lol 😂 (the lady stood there and said “just a second I have to add this up) like what? Moving on, I sat there and watched them cook the food….. when the biscuits were done and the sausage was not the other cook handed him a plate of sausage that had been sitting there since I walked in…. And about now it’s 9.25. He wrapped it up and gave it to me so I really hope these biscuits are good Waffle House cause I was really looking forward to them….. but I’m very disappointed about...
