My sister and I attended a viewing of the new hit blockbuster, Oppenheimer, at NCG Cinema in Spartanburg. While this is no 70mm IMAX experience, the comfortable seating makes up for it in my humble opinion. The ability to watch a film while fully reclined in couch-esqe accommodations was truly unfathomable. The volume was a bit loud. During many scenes of the Oppenheimer movie I felt that I was being blown out of my seat, not by sounds of the atomic shockwaves, but by deafening dialogue between scientists discussing newly discovered revaluations of physics. The price of snacks is on par with leading competitors in the theater business, similar can be said for the quality as well. While this might not be standard for all viewings, I appreciated that their showing of Oppenheimer was across the building from the new Barbie movie. It was refreshing to know that I was not in proximity to any moviegoers who associate with that catastrophic attempt of media. With movies being so easily pirated and uploaded to the internet for viewing, NCG Cinemas offers the ability to go back in time and watch new films in a pre-9/11 fashion. After events like in Aurora, Colorado during The Dark Knight Rises premier, many fear attending movie theaters. While many of these tragedies occur, they are typically in areas which elect Democratic politicians. Chelsea, the manager at the Spartanburg location, was very rude and uncooperative yesterday. We went to see Black Panther, which was a fantastic movie, and there was a seating issue. Mind you this only involved a couple people, not the entire theater. Roughly 30mins or so into the film, it stopped, then all the lights came on. Everyone kinda looked around shocked not knowing what was going on. Moments later Chelsea walks in to make what she thought to be a grand statement. She said if your nit in the correct seat then you need to move now. Her tone of voice was veery disrespectful and again this didn't have anything to do with the 50+ folks there to enjoy the film. Chelsea then stated if you have a problem with it you can leave!! Wow, really this was handled very unprofessionally as she was so rude and obnoxious. There was mumbling amongst the theater as the people moved so the girls could seat in the seats I guess they chose. This situation was definitely handled the wrong way. So, I left the theater to have a conversation with Chelsea and she just ignored me, not listening to anything. I could tell it was more than just the seat situation, she acted as if she didn't want to be there. Which probably would be a great thing for NCG because this looks very negative representations of the company. She is not who you'd want working for your company as her manager skills, customer service skills, are in question. I will not be visiting this location again for as long as someone like Chelsea manages this sorry place...

NCG Theatre 5☆ Google 1/2 ☆ It took me to get to almost a level 9 rater to feel Google Manipulates ratings:-/ Google will Not Allow all uploads.. This is not my first visit here at NCG but my first rating for here.. I feel it might serve as a very good rating considering I've been to this location several times. I've been here three or four times before this and it's always been a good experience... This theater much like many Asian theaters has the big comfortable reclining seats. Not quite as nice as the Asians, but close.;-).. I do enjoy going here cuz there's nothing like going to watch a movie and sit in a nice comfortable chair.. Again these chairs recline.. I should have taken pictures of that.. BUT, I will stop wasting my time if Google doesn't use them.. I like also that we had to wait about 5 to 7 minutes for the three or four cleaners to go in and clean the place out before the next movie. To me that means it's at least was put into action to be clean while I was there.. Thank you for that and that gave you another ☆. :-) I like this place cuz you can go and buy and your drinks and popcorn with your tickets - They have free refills so you go back and get more popcorn and more drink... That I like.. I feel that's probably great for most parents..😉😉 overall I highly recommend this theater 👌👍.. We've been here several times now and still love it.. The staff is always pleasant.. The place is always clean.. The popcorn and drinks are always good... We are very pleased and again HIGHLY RECOMMENDED...
