This probably could have been a easy five stars but, a few employees at this location feels like the customer is of no importance. Yesterday about 4:45 pm my wife and I decided to eat out, so we decided to stop by the McDonald's near our living establishment. The building looked renovated fresh and clean, but dark almost uninviting but hey!, I thought why not? Note: ( I have not eaten McDonald's food in almost 15 years ). We drive up to submit our order, at first the A.I. recording sounds pleasant, then the employee enters the monitor speaker....she is very unprofessional, very unpleasant, not trained correctly. Reason why I would say she sound as if though she is not trained correctly, I present my order and made it simple as possible. I ask for four number ones and a separate medium fry. She seem to lack comprehensive skills. She responds back with an attitude, "So do you want the meals or just the sandwiches?" Four number ones and a medium fry, is quite simple to comprehend. Then she bypass thanking me, she says $37.77 drive around! She gives me a very racist look, still do not say thank drive to the next window, she instead gives me my card back and receipt, and gives me a cold look and closes the window Note: ( I am Middle-eastern, the young lady is African American ).The young lady or employee at the second window was very polite, generous so, five stars for her. The food was not freshly cooked. The Big Mac was cold, the fries where not fresh. Management monitor your employees or get a visit from DHEC. Train these young people to show respect to the Customer, we are who keeps the doors open. A clean environment with strong hospitality and respect and fresh food, goes a long way. You would triple your customers. Think about it. Correct it.
P.S.
I suggest terminating the entire staff, including management. Consider A.I. automation. GET RID OF THE...
Read moreI went on my 30 minute lunch from my work just a mile from McDonald's. There was 1 car in line. The male took my order quickly. This was surprising from the last time I was there 42 weeks earlier. I know this because when I posted my review on Facebook I had to update my previous one from the last visit. When I got to the window to pay, there was 3 employees standing there arguing over what I had ordered. The young lady running the register said I had my actual order. A cheeseburger with no mustard or onions, add mayonnaise and a large fry. The manager, who could barely speak English, said I had a cheeseburger and a tea. After several times they finally asked me what I had. I told them what the first girl had heard. The manager kept saying "okay okay!" In an annoyed voice and THAT makes ME annoyed because I'm a diabetic who is feeling under the weather and I have to get back to work. I got to the 2nd window and the lady who speaks even less English hands me a large tea. "That's not mine." 'You get large tea.' No. I repeated my order. 'Large tea. nods head at me' "NO. Cheeseburger....yada...Large fry." 'Large tea. nod' "you can give me the tea but its not mine!" Pull around please. You wait. Finally the guy who took my original order brought my food out. I get back to my job with 3 minutes to eat my food. Open it up and there is mustard and onions. This is NOT a desire. This is a food allergy that will leave me with my face swollen, blisters on my lips and several other internal issues. I've dealt with it since I was born. Its NOT fun. Nooooo mustard. Its not a hard request. So I went back to my job in the pharmacy to finish the rest of my 9 hr shift without eating. I guess that's my own fault for not having time to cook my own meal that day and thinking that you could actually get what...
Read moreI'll join the chorus of other people who can testify to how horrible this McDonald's is.
As someone who lives nearby with young children, I'm always being asked if we can pick up McDonald's for a quick dinner.
I have had similar experiences to other reviewers: my order is almost never right, and the error is always them missing something I paid for, not adding something I didn't. The staff is rude, the wait times are horrible.
My recent experience takes the cake, and is why I won't be returning. I stopped by earlier than usual and they were still serving breakfast. I ordered a sausage egg and cheese biscuit with an orange juice. $10... I had considered driving away when hearing that, and I wish I would have.
Upon getting to the first window, I'm greeted by a woman who called out someone else's order after taking my card. Apparently this was her asking if that was my order... It was not. She didn't wait for a response from me, and proceeded to charge me for someone else's order. When I got up to the next window after seeing the incorrect transaction amount, I was told that there wasn't a manager there that could reverse the transaction. My only option to have the issue solved was to wait for a half hour. That wasn't going to happen.
I tried calling the store multiple times after this to get ahold of a manager. It went to voicemail every time. I've had to reach out to my bank to cancel the transaction.
Absolutely absurd to think any business can maintain this level of service and expect people to be loyal customers.
Unless and until I see an "Under New Management" sign, I will have to purchase my over-priced fast...
