Update 8/4/19: Food used to be phenomenal when we started coming a year ago but isn’t what it used to be. We loved coming here for the crawfish that were spicy and well seasoned. This time around, they were bland and flavorless. A lot of the other food not as good as what it used to be either. The other thing not helping them is the front of the house staff, especially the hostess, who acted like she didn’t know what she was doing and proceeded to make faces when walking customers to their tables when they were behind her. Frankly, she just looked annoyed to be there. Management doesn’t seem to care about their employee’s attitude problem. Don’t plan on going back!
8/5/19 Reply to owner: We were there about a week ago or so. This wasn’t yesterday. Just finally getting around to posting this. Iris and a man from Kazakhstan, I believe his name is El, are amazing employees. Iris is very personable and a joy to be around! She made quite an amazing impression on us from the first time we came there. Unfortunately, you now have some new employees that don’t share the same great attitude and work ethic.
Food is the best around! We live in Asheville, NC and were driving home from out of town. Decided to stop in and boy it did not disappoint! Everything was very fresh and delicious. Crawfish are some of the best I’ve ever had! They have them Friday and Saturday night and all day Sunday. Sushi was fresh and a great selection. Coconut shrimp, black pepper chicken, and wonton soup were the best I’ve had. Even though we have some good Chinese buffets in Asheville, we definitely plan on coming back here and not just when going out of town. In addition, our server was phenomenal! Her name is Iris and...
Read moreI have eaten here twice, once on a Thursday evening and once on a Sunday evening, I was disappointed to find that the food offered was the same on Sunday as it is on Thursday, usually there is the addition of frog legs, crayfish and crab legs for Sunday dinner to justify the increase in price at this type of a buffet. The sushi and sashimi is absolutely amazing, better than any buffet I've ever been to, and I frequent a lot of buffets, I go to at least 3 every month. The calamari and lightly breaded shrimp was well overdone to the point of being inedible, but the buttered shrimp and the coconut shrimp was perfectly cooked both times, not overdone. I would have given four stars if it had not been for the server named Leo asking for a tip, I was quite taken aback by his brashness so I felt backed into a corner to leave him less of a tip then I would have normally given. I always leave a tip and do not eat out if I cannot give a tip, I even leave the sandwich makers at Subway at tip. I have pondered on Leo's boldness in requesting a tip and rationalized that he may be dealing with quite a few people who do not leave a tip because it was not customary until these last 15 years or so to give a tip at a buffet, so perhaps he is trying to train the customers to give a tip, still I felt slightly offended that someone would assume the worst of me and think that I would not give a tip, and of course I gave the sushi maker a tip as I always do.
Updated 23/May/18 I have eating here two more times so I'm giving another star because the food is better now than it was a few weeks ago, I will give a 5-star review when the bathroom is kept clean...
Read moreWent here today for my brother's birthday (09/11/2020), and was extremely dissatisfied. The food was cold and pathetic. The macaroni and cheese tasted like chemicals and sour milk. The sweet and sour chicken and the sesame chicken were both under the warmers for too long and were stale, dry, and chewy. Both the sweet and sour chicken and sesame chicken had a odd sugary chemical taste to it. My brother got lo mein and said that the noodles were literally Ramen noodles and not actual lo mein noodles. The chicken on a stick tasted like country ham, as in it was so salty I needed a refill of my drink immediately. Chicken on a stick also had a weird magenta like color, but it wasn't undercooked. The only tolerable things to eat here was the yeast roll and sugar donut roll thing. I also tried the pizza (just to see if they would do pizza incorrectly as well) and it tasted like Michelle Obama school lunch era pizza - just absolutely strange. If I wanted my middle/high school pizza again, I would just go back to my school. Also went to the bathroom before I left, and there were open containers of chemicals under the sink. I can't imagine that would be good or safe if a small child were to stick their hands in it. The staff barely came around to our table and were rude. Paid for 6 people: myself, my mom, my brother, my stepdad, my grandpa and grandma. It was $82. That is absolutely outrageous. If my brother didn't want to have his birthday lunch here, we would not have eaten here or even thought about paying for that. Never come here, and I will certainly...
