Bolo's Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Spokane Valley

I showed up for steak and bake at 10 p.m. on a not at all busy Tuesday night (9/4/18). I ordered my steak medium but I got medium rare after waiting for it for at least half an hour. Steak itself was a joke at 9 inches long by 1 1/2 inches wide. That size of steak should take all of 10 minutes max to cook at medium so God only knows what they were doing during that half hour since it wasn't even close to medium. I was sitting there thinking I was getting ripped off for 18 bucks for this small itty bitty piece of meat. But 20 minutes into my wait, I was served a bowl of clam chowder that was barely warm and tasted very Bland.. It should have been given to me within 10 minutes. The baked potato I was served was about the size of my fist, pretty small. Oh, and on my bill I was charged an additional dollar because my potato was "loaded," ie, I had requested "everything on it." Everywhere else on the planet that I go when I ask for this they provide it without an extra charge - it comes with the meal. It really wasnt a loaded potato anyway bc it had small amounts of sour cream, grated cheese, bacon bits, and chives. I say small amounts because it was a smallish potato. About the only good thing I ate was the beans with bacon on my plate which were delicious. All during my meal I heard the Wailing and off key singing of almost every song and for the full duration of the songs from a live band. It was pretty ridiculous. It was like listening to fingernails scratching down a chalkboard.

When I finally asked for my bill to close it out the barkeep took my debit card and then held onto it while she then immediately turned around and poured several drinks for somebody on the other side of the bar - and then when she was done she spent another 5 minutes jawboning with someone in a casual conversation. So after 15 minutes of waiting I got up and went over and stood in front of her and asked her to please cash me out. She said yes but she had been busy filling a drink order. I saw what she was doing and she should have cashed me out BEFORE she filled the order and made me wait while chatting with another patron. She could have taken care of me in about 30 seconds. But like I say, instead she made me wait while she poured those other drinks. Needless to say I...

Drove in from out of state and went to check out the pinball. We were aware we were coming in late, intended to buy a drink each (4 of us) play a game and get out. 2 of us work in the service industry, so aware that we need to make it quick. We tip well, don't order crazy shit and don't try to hang out late. There was roughly 20-25 people still in the bar. The bartender refused to serve us drinks at 1:20. Fine, no big deal. Reminded us she was closing in 10 minutes . We said no problem, walked over to the pinball and one person split to find the quarter machine and was reminded on the way back of the closing time. The DJ guy yelled at us across the bar that we were awfully late. Geez, we get it. Finished up the games while the bartender loudly complained about her night and all the drama, to her apparent friends, whom she was still serving drinks to. My boyfriend went to use the restroom and the bartender threatened to lock him in and as we left, loudly called us "big spenders". The pinball machines are great, so it really sucks but I highly doubt we'll be coming back and spending any money there. Very disappointed and a little insulted. Came here with friends Saturday night. They had a live band that was pretty good. The food was ok. The appetizers were decent, but the main food we ordered wasn't as good. My husband ordered the grilled cheese with fries. The fries were great. The grilled cheese wasn't crisp enough. I had the "finger steak" with tots. I Thinking it would be upscale fried steak fingers. It was not that. All my steak pieces were different sizes, cooked to different temperatures, and not breaded but grilled. Had some kind of strange seasoning on it. It wasn't bad, just not great. Tots were yummy. Their artichoke dip is amazing! Our table ordered 2 orders of it because it was so good. The club sandwich my friend ordered like great and she liked it. Our server was awesome.
