Used to go to Applebee's on Newport Highway, in Spokane every week, then every month after they raised their 2 for menu prices. The last 3 visits, since their remodel have been less then desired. All my wife and I wanted was something quick and not too expensive, esp after our last experience in the same restaurant a few months back. (Worst drink I've ever been served for $20) Thought we would give it a shot once again. We ordered the sampler plater. Simole dish you would think. Restaurant was not busy at all on 130pm. A plate of boneless wings arrived and that was it, no plates. Asked an employee if that was part of the plater now and more was coming, he ran off and got the guy who took our order. The waiter came back minutes later and said he pushed the wrong button on his pad. Then he proceeds to take the wings, then starts to use my fork to push a couple of them on our plate. Normally they would just leave this plate now cause they can't serve them, but he left 4 of them and said we wouldn't be charged. Like he was doing us a favor! He comes back 10 mins later and said there was a plater already waiting for someone else but gives it to us. With parts of the plater and one sauce missing. He didn't replace my fork or plate he took, or did he return for quite awhile. Probably ate the wings he took from us for lunch! Never refilled our beverages or asked if we needed anything the whole time we ate. I paid the bill with the automated machine on the table. Of course it tried to automatically add a tip, that got canceled! Service and such in this restaurant has gotten absolutely terrible the last year and a half. We will not be returning anytime soon. Shame since we have liked Applebee's for years until recently. Prices are high and you get less food, along with their service being poor and even alcoholic drinks are very watered down for their price. Please someone open a reasonable priced restaurant...
Read moreI go to applebees A LOT. Its my kids favorite place to go. Ive never had any issues with it until tonight. My margarita came back without the sugar rim i requested, it tasted like malt liquor, zero watermelon flavor just siper cheap liqour and ice slushie because i ordered it blended. And then I also ordered extra sauce with my pasta as i do every single time, and it came back in a very small black side cup instead of the glass bowl i usually get. But what was weird is that my pasta was super dry u til i put it in and then was just normal pasta after that. It was almost still dry! It said its suppose to be an extra 3oz but it was more like 2. Probably not even that. And so i asked her if she could please get more because it was just dry pasta, and she charged me for it again. So i got double charged. Its not a huge charge but the its the principle of whats right and wrong! And i feel like she should have let me know it would be a charge only because i did tell her i felt like the pasta didnt have any extra at all. And then she went and talked about me with the other servers. Which we did notice which is super unprofessional to do in the open where I can see you. And she didnt refill any soda or kids drinks. The mac n cheese for my infant burned me because it was so hot. There was no wait upon arrival, they wernt busy, so all of the hiccups seem unnecessary. Probably wont go back for a while until there could possibly be newer employees. Ive gone here like 50 times and this time was terrible. My server...
Read moreOn Sunday I decided to go to lunch, I’ve never been to one in Spokane so I decided to give it a try. I was greeted by the pleasant, friendly Miranda who sat me in the bar section. She’s a wonderful hostess. The next interaction was with the bartender/waitress Tiffany. Extremely pleasant and professional. I am a Pescatarian and mentioned that fact. She took the time and was patient telling me all that Applebee’s had to offer. For such a huge menu it was quite limited so hence the four star. One shrimp dish, fish and chips, salmon, and a Caesar salad is what I can recall. I’m from Alaska so I have had my fair share of fresh seafood. I asked about the French onion soup but it has a beef base. The Tomato Basil was the only other option and it was very tasteful. The chips and artichoke dip was good. Then I asked Tiffany her suggestion on deserts again limited but she suggested what is pictured and it was amazing. I never mention I’m a google tour guide until I’m ready to pay my Bill I then told her and said what a pleasure she and Miranda had been. They made my day really the cuisine I can get anywhere. I met the manager and told him that they were professional and extremely courteous and asked that this review be placed into their personal files. Thank you...
