I sincerely wish that I had a better review of this restaurant. First, let's note that it was a very busy evening which we normally experience in February due to the enormous amount of birthdays in the Inland Northwest take place at this time. Our family of three was seated relatively quickly so there was no massive wait and we were thankful for this. Our server was prompt to our table but did give us enough time to survey the menu prior to her arrival. We ordered our drinks and food at the same time knowing wait times can be longer when busy. We watched other servers very attentive to their tables but did not see our server until much later at this point our drinks were in need of refills and our daughter needed an additional mac and cheese. When our server did visit our table, and my husband shared with her that we had placed additional fry and mac and cheese orders with the individual who brought us our food. For some reason this seemed to upset her we didn't notice it in the moment but we noticed it in the fact that we were completely ignored the rest of the evening. We were visiting because of a birthday month for one of us in our household but we're completely ignored even after asking how to at the birthday reward to our bill. My daughter was upset because she really enjoys the ice cream sundae that comes with the reward since she is too young to earn one herself we generally allow her to have ours. Our server seem to be more upset that we were getting help from management which we did not ask for she just happened to come by our table when my husband was trying to have the reward added to our bill. We Believe she thinks that we complained about her which we did not however her attitude towards us throughout our time there was unacceptable and has made us think twice about even using our next birthday reward there. This saddens me as it's a great place for us to have a relatively decent dinner with our daughter. I also wish this was the first time I had had a bad experience but I can honestly say the downtown location and the northside location are both burnt for our family. Maybe another day but with so many other good dining options it's likely will pass. Photo reflex our table being completely covered in items to be removed that we were left with even when our server ignored us several...
Read moreMy Aunt and I were in to your restaurant at the Northgate location last night and did not receive good service. It was around 7:30pm when we arrived and when we walked in three of the young men at the door were engaged in personal conversation. We were seated at the first booth. The general manager then came up and reprimanded those young men about them not doing their job. I shouldn't have to listen to that. Very unprofessional. Then an older gentleman came in and the young man asked if it was okay to stay him in the bar. By his response he didn't want to be seated in there, but he agreed. Then the young man said " unless you want to get it to go" . The man said no and they proceeded to the bar. About 5 minutes later, then older man just left. I do not know the reason why, but it sure seems like your front end could use some retraining. It took a long time to even order our sodas. We not not given water at any point during our meal. When the waitress finally took our order. I requested no tomatoes on my bonzai burger. And I ordered garlic fries. I let the waitress know that I would be placing a to go order, but that I wanted to wait until we were done eating. She told me she could take the to go order now and hold until until we were ready. When my food arrived it had tomatoes on it AND regular fries. I sent it back after informing the waitress that I do not want them to just remove the tomatoes and bring it back. My order was brought back in about 3 or 4 minutes with no tomatoes and shredded cheese not even melted at all on the fries. I could barely even taste the garlic. My Aunt ordered a bacon cheeseburger with regular fries. Neither of us were even halfway through our the first half of our burgers when the waitress brought the to go order and set it in the table. At that point my aunt had no fries on her plate and the waitress never even asked if she wanted more or if we wanted refills on our drinks. She did not come back and check on us at all until we were done. We eat here often and love it. I feel as though your staff and customers would benefit greatly if some re- training or up training was done.
Thank you for your time,
Sincerely, two...
Read moreThe food was great for me however, my wife has an allergy to gluten. That being said she ordered the burger (smashed avocado or something like that) that is gluten free, with gluten free buns and fries. Half way through eating her burger she noticed it had a few of the fried onion bits from what looked like one of the other types of burgers. Anyways it came time to pay the check. She had stopped eating the burger after noticing this, figured she'd wait and see if she gets sick (as she does with any gluten) but in the mean time mentions this to the waiter in a polite way just letting him know this is what she found, that she wasn't mad about it just telling him that someone in the future may have a big issue with this. The waitor then began to blame her for ordering a burger that wasnt gluten free, we then verified that it was not the burger that was the issue. Once he realized the burger was gluten free he began to say "well some people just ordered gluten free buns and fries because they believe it's healthier so next time just make sure to let us know ahead of time that you have celiac". We politely said we will make sure to do so, holding back the urge to say anything irrational. However this is the first time a waitor has been this way and it was not that we wanted an apology for the possible gluten exposure since you take the risk with everywhere you go to eat, not at all. However to be treated like that infron of other customers while trying to be polite about it was completely demeaning and unprofessional. This is not a reflection on red robin as a whole. This business is amazing and we will continue to dine! Just a reflection on our experience with this one individual.
Tried to add this to the survey after eating but did not receive a receipt...
