Unbelievably, astoundingly, jaw-droppingly RUDE, lazy, & blatantly discourteous management & employees (my friend & I ate in the dining room).
Though we did eventually receive the menu items we ordered, our food was for the most part thrown together as thoughtlessly as if it had been intended just for slopping hogs: + we were only given about half of our order. • Had to ask (TWICE) for the rest. • Had to keep showing my receipt to prove we'd actually paid for it. WE WERE ACTUALLY ACCUSED OF TRYING TO STEAL FOOD BY ATTEMPTING TO TRICK THEM OUT OF THINGS WE HADN'T ORDERED OR JUST PAID FOR. We didn't ask for anything we hadn't ordered—easily proven because of all things, the receipt was actually correct! • Served half cold, our sandwiches were not built menu items, be rather just ingredients thrown haphazardly on a wrapping paper that looked like it had been wadded up as trash would be. • Asking for a couple ketchups (i.e., 2, at least) our two orders of fries was met with sarcasm & a sneer; and was rewarded with one single ketchup. ~Asking to be given what I had just asked for was met with a very loud, very slow and very dramatically drawn out exasperated-sounding sigh, followed by a long-enough pause before being thrown on the counter in my direction. • Both of our orders of fries were ⅔ filled with old, cold, stale fries that had obviously been sitting around awhile, topped be a few that were actually hot & fresh... as if we were too stupid to know the difference. (by this time it wasn't even worth bothering to mention, because I was starting to get pretty damned tired of the treatment we were receiving) • WE WERE DENIED NAPKINS! (... NAPKINS! really,!?!!?) This on the grounds that we had already received one napkin each (greasy and wrapped around our fries). ~ I actually watched him EMPTY the napkin dispenser before we'd even sat down to wait after first ordering. I HAD TO DEMAND MORE & THEN KEEP MY MOUTH SHUT AS I WAS MADE TO WAIT FOR THEM. They were one l about one foot away from him, sitting on the back counter where he put them after emptying the dispenser.
I have never in my life anywhere experienced anything like this, but to top it all off... the place was EMPTY of customers when we walked in, only TWO vehicles went through the drive-thru window, and only ONE other party (of THREE) came in the whole time. After all this, I had not once actually complained, not asked for a single thing free other than the ketchup & napkins. We left immediately when done eating, went outside & off the property to roll cigarettes. An employee came outside to tell us that because we were visible from the dining room windows we were now loitering and needed to leave immediately.
The manager was useless. This experience was beyond horrible. Treating my friend like garbage was unforgivable!

Read moreI had been coming here on a regular basis because the new manager was doing a fine job and the service + food quality was good. On Wednesday (3/12/25), around 9pm, I went through the drive-through and ordered a double guacamole bacon burger and a large water. I usually opt for water because I stopped drinking soda. They apparently had changed their policy about charging for the large sized water. They wanted $4. Ok, a bit ridiculous, but this is not why I’m leaving a 1 star review. Several hours after eating here I became violently ill and had to go home early from my shift. I spent the next 12 hours throwing up and, well, I will spare the details about what was coming out the other end. I had to take the following night off work. Everything else I ate that night was packaged and sealed and something I eat regularly with zero issues. I don’t want a refund. I just want to make the managers/owners aware of the problem so they can remedy the situation and not send any one else home puking their guts out. I probably won’t be eating at this...
Read more[Update]: Moving the score up one as theyve hired older more mature people to the location. Carls Jr is what it is as a fast food joint. But I'm glad to see they atleast got rid of the dead weight and added better staff.
[Update]: The GM for this Carl's Jr called me after my complaint and agreed that the service I received was due to laziness on the staff and nothing else. He explained that if slow they can shut down 15mins early but no earlier. I moved my score up 2 scores for the response. I was offered a free meal in which if handled appropriately I will give a proper score as I'm a fan of CJ.
I love carl's jr. Since living in Cali. But this one always pisses me off some how. Whether it's lack luster energy from staff or how about be going and hour and 45 minutes before close and they have the chicken tender machine down. Are you serious?
