My favorite to go to Ramen restaurant in Spokane, not like there is many choices in town. I like it much better than the other place in town, aka Nudo. If come here for Ramen and maybe craving some fried chicken, the karage appetizer here is so good, even with the kewpie-like dipping sauce. you can get it with rice as an entree too. My favorite dish is the spicy pork bone Ramen. Great flavor in the broth and portions are really big. Also if you want any curry, pretty much get there early or at lunch time. I believe in the 4 to 5 times I've been there, it is always out at dinner time. There is also a minced pork noodle that is good too, but not really a broth, more like a spaghetti sauce consistency. Edit #1: Went again and finally got to try their curry items for lunch, seem it always seemed sold out during dinner times. My part had the curry Ramen and chicken curry rice. The Ramen with curry sauce has the consistency of pasta, due to its thicker sauce, not like a soup Ramen. The curry had cubes of potatoes, carrots, and diced onions with no protein. The chicken curry rice was the same curry, only with rice and pieces of chicken. The chicken to my surprise was the same chicken used for their karaage, which is delicious and preferable. The curry was great and tasted like any other Japanese curry I have eaten or those box ones you get at the Asian markets. Having had both, I think the rice with chicken format is the better option to get if you need a curry fix.

Stop here last night after seeing 4.4 stars. Had the king ramen and tonkotsu ramen, it was tasty, kudos to the ladies cooking. Ramen had good flavor, shrimp tempura was missing flavor. The 2 stars is for the entitle, lazy, who cares attitude from the servers, specially the guy with the fluffy hair. Three tables only including ours and this guy rather be in the kitchen in the way of the chef literally putting his hands in his head and flaking his hair over the prep area and dishes, we almost walk out because of this, feel bad for the one who order door dash, they might of got extra condiments. Totally disengage with customers, when they brought the food or water we politely said thank you, his only response is “yea” but yet he can have a full conversation about basketball and who should go check on the toilets with his coworker. If he is part of the owners, shame to set this example for other coworkers, if he is not, more training or different job. Sucks he is costing the restaurant bad reviews and there for possible customers and the rest of the employees who work hard have to suffer the consequences. Not expecting a full dining experience, just some bare minimum customer service.

I went here on a weekend evening and it was not empty, but not very busy either. The service is fine, nothing special but not lacking either. Chicken karaage is tender and light, although the dipping sauce is just normal mayo as opposed to the Japanese mayo or Thousand Island you get at some other places. The ramen itself is definitely a good value, most bowls are $9 but come in big portions relative to other restaurants. Noodles are a bit on the chewy side although they soften up if you let them sit in the soup. The soup is not very salty or heavy and has nice notes of bone broth, but it's definitely on the thicker side - a layer of oil will congeal on the top if you wait. The pork chashu is a little rubbery in texture and lacking in flavor; the soft boiled egg is fine; there are no bamboo shoots or other niceties offered, though you get a small mound of shredded pink ginger. King of Ramen delivers in value, even if the food itself is a little rough around the edges. I'd visit again.

This place had a bunch of good reviews. Having a cold an wishing for hot piping soup sounded amazing. I figured it would warm me up an be magically delicious. But instead I was served hot water, cold ramen an poor service.

When the boyfriend an I arrived I was excited to sit down an see what it was all about. Their menu is small an simple. Not much to choose from. One page. I felt like they had more items on their online menu than when we actually went in.

We ordered their tea but they didn't have honey and no lemons. The tea tasted nasty like it was a instant mix.

We ordered the spring rolls. Basically $1 for one spring roll. Didn't taste too bad but I wouldn't go back for these.

But boy, when we got our soups they were cold. I was so upset I told the waiter an she done nothing jus walked away. The broth was cold. The eggs, meat an veggies were cold. The egg was cooked but like it was cold an left over an they jus put it on top. They don't offer many veggies. Jus corn, tomatoes, an green onion. (I was hoping for more or to at least have the option) The meat cooked but looked like it was left over an jus put on top. And was also cold. Oh an the noodles didn't even taste cooked. They were firm an cold. Can't find another word for cold but all of it was cold. An they didn't even care. So when I told her my soup was cold she went to reach an touch my bowl but turned an Jus walked away. So if you want cold soup go here.

I told our waitress again when I went up to the cashier an all she said was I'm sorry an asked how I wanted to pay. I wouldn't recommend this place because of my experience. I'm very upset I told them twice my soup was cold an didn't even offer anything an jus wanted money. Jus made me feel like they didn't care.

Makes me feel like they are cold hearted an don't want any business. It's a shame. The boyfriend loves ramen. But after this experience I wouldn't recommend them. I'm highly...

I've been frequenting King of Ramen for about 5 months now with my significant other and a few other friends of mine. Let me start off with that simply because it should speak leaps; why would I go so much if I didn't enjoy this location?

And that's just it. I love it here. The music they play is a simple chilled out electronic genre, usually music by Kaskade. The service is outstanding, if you get especially lucky and it's dead they're practically waiting for you by the time you walk through the doors. I'm sure they have limited staff because you always see the same friendly, eager to serve faces.

The menu might be small, but it is simply because it makes for effective work flow, plus when you have limited ingredients that are used up often, you can almost guarantee that they will be fresh. The only warning I have with freshness would probably have to do with the boiled eggs, they seem to be soaked in soy sauce, which isn't terrible, but it's also a known practice to preserve the freshness of eggs. I completely understand this just because hard boiled eggs take a long time to make, and if you don't have them ready, how are you going to serve ramen?. Honestly, I quite like the taste, but it can all come down to preference.

All of their appetizers are delicious but I'd have to say the best bang for your buck appetizer wise would be the fried tofu. You get somewhere's around 16 pieces for only $4? That's insane. And I love it. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

All in all this place has some kick-a** ramen, awesome staff, great prices, and their service and food NEVER disappoints me. I'll always give it a big recommendation whenever discussing asian cuisine...

If you're looking for good, (mostly) traditional ramen in Spokane, you gotta give this place a shot. This was my first time eating their food and I was definitely happy with what I got. I ordered the Spicy King Ramen with all the extras (minus extra spicy; I don't mess with extra spice my first go at a new place) and a side of gyoza. The gyoza was good and the sauce had a nice little bit of a citrus flavor to it like a yuzu sauce. When I finished the side, I wish I had more of them! As for the ramen itself, it was excellent with a couple of notes. First, it wasn't really what I would consider proper spicy. It was almost what you would call "spicy adjacent". Second, it wasn't quite as rich as I thought it would be. Most traditional ramens I've had in my life have been more rich and almost creamy with it's broth, but King of Ramen's broth was mild and thin with lighter flavor notes which complimented the summer heat I think better than something more dense. Mind you, it wasn't bad, maybe just not quite up to what I expected it could have been. Speaking of heat, I ordered my ramen to go and it was still piping hot when I got it home which was great! Even on warm, summer days, a good hot ramen lifts your spirits. And there was a lot of it! Easily enough to fill that mid-day, skipped-breakfast hunger but not too dense that it'll stop you for the day. All that being said, I think it's a pretty good place to get a quick, tasty ramen at a decent price that shouldn't disappoint any but the most...
