UPDATE UPDATE: As promised we went back to Frank's Diner both this location and the one down town. We were impressed with both experiences as much as we have always been in the past. The service was inviting and friendly. The food was delicious as always. The restaurants were clean and the staff all in high spirits.
UPDATE: The owner followed up personally with me about our experience. I am willing to take the family to this location for a second try from the follow up received on the negative review left.
Prior to reading the original review- please note minus the complaints on experience the majority of our food was delicious.
We typically love the Franks downtown however wanted to try something a little different for the kids spring break so came to the Franks in North town and unfortunately that was a mistake and large waste of money. We will not be returning to this location at all and will be afraid to return to the one downtown for a while.
This first issue we noticed was the dirty silverware on our cleaned and set table. (Ketchup stuck on fork that was unused by us) The next issue was black grime calcification floating in the ice tea and it only went down from there.
One of the employees went into the restroom which you would think was no big deal but when they came out the entire back half of the train smelled so strong of marijuana. This provided some breathing issues for our asthmatic family member.
One of our guests orders was messed up and had hair in her plate. When she pointed out the hair to the waitress, the waitress took the plate to the counter where we all could still see her, stuck her ungloved hands in the food, pulled out the hair, argued with our guest that it was not hair but a string of egg (guests plate was a burger and fry’s- no eggs), then took the plate over to a trash can, scrapped the fry’s off the plate, and brought the plate back to our table with no apology or offer to remake the food.
In all our years going to the Franks downtown this North location did not provide a similar experience, was dirty, did not have the bubbly welcoming staff, and broke health...
Read moreThe service was terrible. I had to ask three times for a high chair for my 1 year old who is a very active child. We were served the main portion of our meals and told our sides would be out shortly. We finished what we were served before we got the rest. After I put server had already taken other tables their food. We mentioned we hadn’t received our sides yet. She comes back and says they have to remake them because they had been sitting for awhile. My son’s sides were then not cooked very well. I never received my side of biscuits and gravy, but at that point didn’t even care. But had seen her take the same thing to the table right by us. She brought the bill and it had the biscuits and gravy on it still. She had gave us a discount for waiting but then I asked to have the biscuits and gravy removed. They did end up sending us with the biscuits and gravy to go. Which was nice. I appreciated them trying to make it right, but for our first experience there, it really sucked we seemed to be the only people who had such horrible service. Our waitress did seem to be doing everything. There was another waitress walking around as if she had no clue how to do her job or even what to do. The food wasn’t all that great. My hash browns weren’t cooked very well and my son said his waffle wasn’t the best. The deviled eggs were beautiful and absolutely delicious. I would probably only ever order those to go sometime. I hope management can find a solution to their...

Me being an emotional wreck, from the week before adding to my anxiety and I have a complete and utter meltdown, crying and just plain upset 😭.. I told my family to go ahead and order food and that I wasn’t hungry... Our waitress. McKenzie & her trainer.. took notice to see that I was not happy, and they came over with the manager Sam came over to shake our hand.. apologize for not having what I wanted in stock and he handed us a gift card for $25 for another day, said that today’s breakfast was on them..to make my birthday special.. They completely comped our breakfast. The manager Sam, himself said thank you and that they valued us for coming in and spending a birthday with them. .Food, staff and atmosphere amazing!
