I've been coming here for a long time (early 2000's). I always look forward to seeing Carl. He is super funny. Not sure if he still works at this location or not but we always looked forward to seeing him. My experience tonight was very unpleasant. On 10/26 approx 8:43pm I took my daughter to the drive through to get her a treat. She does ballet and usually her mom rewards her afterwards. All my daughter wanted was a small chocolate shake. She wanted Mcdonalds at first but their machine was down for the night (shocker) =). So we stopped next door to this Jack in the box location instead. I asked kindly at the box if their ice cream machine was working and the gentleman on the mic said "no". I mentioned "I wouldn't mind waiting, how long will it take?"They said "about 20mins". My young daughter was willing to wait and I really wanted to deliver and get her the treat she deserves so I said "no worries I'll be back". Keep in mind there is no one in line at all. No need to rush and provide me with inaccurate information. I pull back around at 9:03 and said "I'm back is your ice cream machine working?" the gentleman said " no sorry it'll be another 15min". At this point I realized this wasn't going to happen so I apologized to my daughter and continued to order myself a couple things since we are already waiting in line. We proceeded to wait around 20+min in line behind only three cars. I told my daughter "well it looks like we are getting a shake after all". I pull up and was kindly greeted by Dakota. She confirmed my order and I asked her if their ice cream machine was working? She said "no it's being cleaned and might be awhile". I asked kindly if I could please share my feedback with her manager/supervisor. She mentioned she was the supervisor on shift. I explained everything above to her and she was really apologetic and mentioned it was "only her and one other person working tonight". Apparently "three other people didn't show up for their shift". I was very kind in explaining how frustrating the whole situation was and how I did appreciate being mislead by the other individual earlier. She apologized numerous times and mentioned since I was nice and not yelling at her she could help as best she could and give me a little discount and possibly give me some ice cream for free though it would be a little runny. I mentioned the shake was for my daughter and explained our tradition. She empathized with me and told me about her kid and was able to relate to my situation. Dakota apologized again and made sure to get right to work on our order. She asked if we needed anything else at all afterwards and I just thanked her for doing everything in her power to try and make the situation right even though it seemed she was in a crummy situation. She mentioned she would tell her fellow employee who mislead me earlier so he knew what to do next time. Honestly would have given this place a 1/5 for service if it had gone another way but this location is overall awesome. Historically employed with kind individuals who provide excellent service and get you hot food in a timely manner. I know this was a one off situation. Even though We waited almost an hour at the end of the day Dakota did everything she could to make our experience better and for that I appreciated the genuine effort. I work in customer service for a living and felt Dakota did a great job handling the situation. I hope Dakota is working the next time we visit. I never leave reviews and most of the time I feel people, myself included, are more likely to leave a review for poor service more often than for great service. I felt Dakota needed some props so I just had to share my experience. Thank you for...
Read moreI’ve always been a fan of Jack in the Box’s 2-for-$3 Jr. Chicken Sandwiches, but I’ve noticed a significant decline in their quality over time. Initially, these sandwiches were well-prepared, with the right balance of ingredients, but lately, it feels like care and effort have been completely overlooked.
For example, in the past, the sandwiches had a reasonable amount of mayonnaise. However, now it seems like employees are trying to stretch the last bit from a jar rather than opening a new one. This results in a barely-there smudge of mayonnaise, which severely impacts the quality and taste of the product. As a customer, this is unacceptable and not reflective of the standards Jack in the Box claims to uphold.
Unfortunately, my most recent experience has left me extremely disappointed. It feels like the pendulum has swung the other way — perhaps due to feedback from other customers about the lack of mayonnaise. This time, my sandwiches were slathered with an overwhelming, excessive amount of mayonnaise, to the point where it was almost inedible. This isn’t just a minor issue; it shows a lack of consistency and care in food preparation.
The photos I’ve attached clearly illustrate the problem. It feels as though a disgruntled employee may have decided to “overcompensate” for previous complaints, but the result is still far from acceptable. This level of inconsistency damages the reputation and trust customers have in Jack in the Box’s food quality.
Whoever is managing this location needs to take immediate action. Proper training and quality control measures should be implemented to ensure staff prepare food to a consistent standard. Customers deserve better than this hit-or-miss experience, and I hope these concerns are...
Read moreWORST EXPERIENCE EVER. My food was cold as if it was taken out of a fridge. The sandwiches weren't made correctly and were poorly put together. The fries were cold and stale. They were soggy and we threw them away after the first bite. The cashier had an unfriendly demeanor and had to verify with her manager that I didn't need ID with a gift card. There were no napkins. The bacon on one of the sandwiches looked like it had a bite taken from it.. And to top it all off the drinks didn't have ice. The store did not answer the phone. They responded to an email a few days later and had us come in to replace the order.
The second time around was better, but not great. The order was correct but the food wasn't much warmer. I'm not even sure what happened with the tacos, but they weren't great at all and got thrown away. The staff was very unapologetic and didnt really seem to take any responsibility. They just remade the order and sent us on our way. If you're looking for a restaurant that clearly doesn't care after they have your money, this is it!
Edit: I have been to this Jack in the Box multiple times since this. I can say without a shadow of a doubt that I have not had ONE decent meal from here. Excuse my French but this box needs to...
