Dania has beautiful furniture, a beautiful store and excellent delivery contractors. However, their customser service , knowledge of stock availability, and warehouse furnitiure handling leaves much to be desired. Approximately a month ago we purchased a bedroom set based on website photos and store display. Purchase was uneventful. We found out that the furniture had arrived and was ready for delivery from the delivery contractor, not store sales personnel. The furniture was delivered but was a mismatched set. Apparently, the furniture style had changed while keeping the same name. Not sure about the SKU numbers. The manufacturer had discontinued the dresser and the high chest and replaced it with something similar. The bed and nightstands remained the same. Dania never got the memo maybe. SSo we arranged to return the pieces that had the new style with the original matching pieces. We went back to the store to discuss our options. They called the warehouse and were told they had a dresser and high chest in the original style. But the store staff was not sure it would be sent to them. So as a backup we were told the floor display pieces would be tagged for us. With a poccible discount. Te delivery people called us to let us know only the new high chest had come in. once again the store staff were not the ones who notified us. So we headed back to verify what we were actually getting and if we would get a discount for the floor model. They didn't remember us and they had no clue the one item had come in. We went upstairs to pick out the best dresser. Now remember this was supposed to have been tagged for us about 10 days earlier. Surprise to tg. One display model was in good condition. The frame on the second was bent and extremely unstable. Why was it even on the floor. Moving forward to delivery day. The movers brought in the dresser. It was good. Then they called us outside to look at the high chest. The back leg was bent and the wood inside was damages. The bottom drawer would not close. The movers had noticed the shipping box was damaged. They said the warehouse had told them they had check the piece for damage. I don't think so. It was obvious the box was damaged. So we had the movers take back the damaged chest and its matching dresser. We kept what had been the delivered in error in the first place. It is obvious there are problems at Dania in Spokane. Communication is poor. Not only with customers , but within the organization. We got more information from the delivery contractors than from the store personnel. Warehouse staff should be checking orders for accuracy and items for damage. Sales people need to keep current with the latest developments from their furnitiure suppliers. Also keep in touch with your customers. Also, if you say you are going to do something, do it, don't lie to people. We're done with Dania in Spokane. I should have never done...
Read moreWe have lived in the area for many years and have shopped for our home furniture at many nice, quality furniture businesses. We decided to redo one of our upstairs living rooms during this time of Covid and I started searching for sectional couches. Every time I searched, Dania was one of the first to come up…so, after reviewing their beautiful website, we decided to visit the Spokane location. I was absolutely blown away...what a beautiful show room! So many styles, so many different choices...from bedroom, to office, to living rooms. Just in the sectional category there weren’t just two or three choices like some of the other stores, there were well over 20, which made it difficult for our family to decide. What a delightful problem to have! If you have not visited Dania, you need to! Each piece of furniture is set up as if it is in your own home, so you can really see how each piece works and fits. We finally made our selections, the purchase process was easy, we also had everything delivered to our home in Hayden. Delivery was top notch, which included full assembly and placing our items exactly where I wanted them. Thank you Dania for such a magnificent experience! We will be back...
Read moreI want to say thanks to whoever responded, so quickly.
My one star rating has to do with the customer service my partner and I received when we were there shopping for new furniture on Saturday, late morning. None. There were at least 2 females and one male working. Who all appeared to be busy behind the counter. One of the ladies did make eye contact with me but no greeting or even a “someone will be right with you”. There was one other lady in there shopping or picking up, not sure. But after around 20-30 minutes of us wandering around we decided to leave.
My partner and I do all we can to support local businesses, especially during these times. But with the lack of people in stores, we were expecting at least some type of customer service.
It is true that first impressions leave a lasting effect. I’m glad to see that your business is thriving even during the pandemic.
We ended up taking our business to Metro Furniture and other online shopping.
Thank you for...
