At this particular Zips on Shannon in Spokane, the employees always go the extra mile to make you happy. I've only had one bad experience there. It involved a manager and another customer. It seems that my friend and I showed up in the lobby at 5PMish with back packs on. I didn't see any signs asking not to wear backpacks. Our backpacks were a cause for concern, because apparently they indicate that a person is homeless. I am not, nor is my friend. But, the night manager and the other customer were having a great time yucking it up about the two of us homeless people. Even if we had been homeless, I'm not sure what all the fuss was about? We paid our bill when we ordered, said please and thank you, took our order and left the store to go.on our merry way. I'm not sure Spokanites realize how bad the "lack of housing " situation is in Spokane. The availability of housing in the city of Spokane is a half of a percent. It doesn't matter how many bedrooms, how much the rent is, there is only a half of a percent of available houses. That's going to leave a lot of people out on the street. Try as they might, housing is hard to find. Instead of trying to belittle someone who is homeless, perhaps the city council should be pressured into making sure that all Spokanites have a safe, affordable roof over...
Read moreI'm pregnant and had to use the restroom I was happy to see all woman working when I walked in I knew they would understand and let me use the restroom but I was told I needed to buy something for the code on the bottom of the receipt okay I have only .50 on me and they couldn't find anything to charge me I had to walk to skippers in the heat thank God I got to use one there no questions asked. I went back to say my peace how I thought that was awful as woman to deny another woman carrying a child basic humanity. The manager piped up saying it's for paying customers, I said I tried I tried to give you my .50 she said well for a 1.09 you can for a water. I had water but I didnt have that. All I responded to the manager was that it's disgusting. It's just simply put disgusting. It says a lot about a place that can be sympathetic towards mother's to be and people in need. My husband was across the street washing our car and when I told him what happened and he knew I could've come back over for money we had in the car but knew I was being stubborn to have to do that. We would've spent our money there for lunch after he was done if they had been cool. But they weren't even that. So frustrating businesses can't have a heart the assume every person is going to...
Read moreI just met one of the rudest human beings in my life at this monroe zips. Older woman with short hair. She should be fired. Not a customer service person. I am beyond, floored. She talks to human beings like they are unworthy to even be alive. I am shaking from seeing the way that she talks to other human beings... and at her place of business. She would NEVER work for me. She is definitely not an asset. I feel sorry for the owner. The owners dont have any idea I am sure, that this woman is truly like this. I am tempted to go in there with a body cam. For real. Anyone else out there know who I am talking about? And I noticed when I looked at the reviews here that Zips responds to good feedback and ignores critisism. THAT, says a lot about the management at this store as well. I am looking forward to writing my yelp review on this one. Ive never been so...
