Zip's Drive In — Restaurant in Spokane

2 Stars for halfway decent customer service. Pulled into the drive thru and asked what the weekly specials were. One of which was a Bacon Burger Combo. Ordered that and requested a Pepsi. Total came to $9.75. A bit much for a "special" but okay.

Got to the window and paid my $9.75. The employee handed me my Burger and Fries and wished me a good night. I said "No Drink?" and the employee was like,...."Uhhhhhh". Last I checked most "combos" come with fries and a drink. The employee said a drink would cost extra.

No issues with the service, I just don't like being ripped off and Zip's prices have been creeping up for a while now.

I left the drive thru but was just not pleased with paying so much for a "combo" that was "on special" and not getting a drink with that "combo" so I went back, gave them the food back and asked for a refund.

The manager was cool, and refunded my card. So I won't go so far as to give them a 1 star review.

I've had good luck at other Zip's Drive Ins that do the 3 chicken strips and fries weekend special (the one on E. Francis does not have this special). I won't be going back to the E. Francis location. Shame since it's close and convenient but I've wasted about an hour of my night going through Zip's Drive Thru twice and ultimately winding up...

A friend and i went to the Zips at E. 725 Francis. Our experience was horrible. We counted 9 employees. Not one of these people greeted us with a smile. Each and every one of them were seriously rude. We couldnt find a clean booth. As i said before it was 4pm. It wasnt busy , there were about 6 other customers in the store. Two of the employees had family members there they were dealing with. A husband. A child. The kud was being obnoxious running around and one of the employees who i assume was his mom stopped what she was doing to deal with the kid. There was one poor guy who sat there for at least 15 minutes waiting for his food. He finally went up and asked. They completely spaced his order. I was PISSED for him. They didnt even compinsate him in any way. I dont even know if they said they were and sorry. I watched the whole situation take place. The person i was with was up at the counter waiting to place her order & hears ans watching the whole interaction. The food was ok not great or very hot though. Mostly i think the employees need a good ass chewing. Or a lesson on proper etiquette when dealing with the public. DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION!!! I love Zips, however they are all independently owned. Whoever runs this one is an absolute doof. They skimp on portion sizes, skimp on providing dipping sauce (really two of each for a family of six!? even after you say you gave me extra!), this location frequently forgets items, I ordered an 8 dollar Jr kids meal with chicken. It came with exactly 14 French fries, an 8oz soda, and two "chicken strips" which were hardly chicken and mostly batter, they were less than 3" long. Every time I go here I always say it will be my last, but unfortunately convience eventually wins a visit. Every time I'm kicking myself for one reason or another. Whoever operates this Zips franchise deserves to be put out of business. I can understand wanting to save some money - but it's so bad it affects what you get from any of the other locations in town. None of them need to uneccesarily overcharge and skimp on the customer. Save yourself headache and Drive 5 more minutes West on Francis Ave. The one closer to 5-Mile is much, much better.
