We've been seeing great reviews of La Tingeria on social media and thought we'd have lunch there on a Saturday afternoon. We walked up to the counter and were greeted with a smile and a great walkthrough of the menu which is written on the wall behind the counter. Be sure not to miss the "side" items listed on the side wall. :) If the description of the menu items wasn't enough, the next thing we know, we're being offered small samples of several of the things on the menu. Every single one was a winner. Now came the hard part, deciding what the three of us were going to order. After mulling it over, we landed on our choices (Screenshot in the pictures).
The wait was minimal, and things came out as they were ready. The presentation was great, and each item drew many "oohs, ahh's and yummy" comments from our table. We clearly ordered way too much food but the desire to try different things trumped our common sense. Next time we'll leave room for dessert!
I had the Goat Taco De Birria with cheese, the Shrimp Taco Special and the Elote. OMG, I loved the Elote. Best I've had in town. The Shrimp taco special was the bomb and the Goat Birriia taco were equally delicious! I also sampled the Birria egg roll and the Carne Asada Quesadilla. That could explain why there was no room for dessert!
Two Additional Comments:
I wish I would have gotten the gentleman's name who so graciously walked us through the menu and provided us the samples. You sir, were absolutely as awesome as the food!
Be prepared to take a nap afterwards. I woke up after a 2 hour food induced coma. But that won't stop me from making many stops at La Tingeria in the future!
Don't miss out peeps! Give this place a...
Read moreI went to this location for the first Thursday July 24, 2025 around 5:45pm. I was craving Mexican food (specifically tacos) and I was searching for restaurants I could go to before I went to work. I saw this location had rave reviews and I decided to see what all the hype was about. Upon entry, it has a very vibrant and open layout with a written down menu in bold text. The guy at the registers name was Assaf, and he knows the menu from front to back, he explained everything very well, and I decided to go with a shrimp taco, chicken tinga taco, and a birria beef brisket taco. He also gave me a Strawberry Agua Fresca and a caramel churro on the house to try to see what I thought of it. Everything was incredible, the flavors blended together so well. The shrimp taco was the best I’ve ever had! Plenty of grilled shrimp, with avocado, mangoes, and this delicious sauce. The chicken tinga taco was super juicy and flavorful, same for the birria beef taco. The strawberry fresca was perfect thirst quencher to help wash down all the good food I had. The caramel churro was on another level though, next time I’ll order three of them lol. Since my first visit I’ve already been here two more times, and it never disappoints, the chorizo chicken quesadilla was also great same for the tres leches cake! I still need to try their horchata, tostadas, goat, and elote. I highly recommend this place, as prices are decent, you can order everything a la carte, and they have plenty of options. They also have a quick order kiosk for those that don’t wanna interact with the employees. I have to give one last shout out to the cook at the time Gabriel, as everything was hot and...
Read moreIf there’s one place that understands how to make tacos an experience, it’s La Tingeria. From the moment the food hits the table, the aroma alone lets you know you’re in for something unforgettable. The birria, pollo, and chorizo tacos are a masterclass in Mexican street flavor, each one served on perfectly crisped, consomé-dipped tortillas that somehow hold their structure while soaking in rich, slow-simmered juices. Every bite hits with tender meat, fresh cilantro, sharp onion, and that silky avocado salsa that ties it all together like a signature move. These aren’t just tacos, they’re handheld perfection.
And then there’s the elote, the kind that reminds you why simplicity done right will always win. Sweet, juicy corn grilled just enough to bring out its natural smokiness, then blanketed in creamy mayo, cotija cheese, and a dusting of chili that adds just the right pop of heat. Squeeze a little lime on top, and it’s pure comfort on a stick.
But the sleeper hit? The birria egg rolls. Golden, crispy shells crack open to reveal melty cheese and shredded birria beef so tender it almost falls apart in your hand. Drag them through that thick swirl of creamy avocado sauce, and it’s game over. The crunch, the savoriness, the spice, it’s everything indulgent about Mexican cuisine wrapped into one unforgettable bite.
La Tingeria doesn’t just serve food, it delivers an experience built around authenticity, craftsmanship, and...
