We are frequent customers of Andy's. We've been loyal patrons for at least 5 years in Spring Hill, TN and have spent many hundreds of dollars there. Among those purchases, we've bought many of the strawberry shortcakes, which our son loves. We bought one today, Saturday 7-22-22 @ 3:30pm and when they handed it to us I and my son noticed it was mostly cake with 2 small dollops of custard. This is not the proportion we normally receive. I brought this up to the young man at the drive-up window and he brought the dessert back inside, they added another small dollop and then he apologetically said he'd have to charge me extra. I said I didn't think it was right to charge me for a corrected order, so I asked to speak to the manager. The manager on duty came to the window and I explained the issue to her. She said "I've been here 6 years and they're always made like that", essentially calling me a liar. The fact is in the last month alone we've ordered 5 or 6 of these and they all had more custard in them. And last I heard this is a custard shop, not a cake shop. So then the 'manager' tells me she'll make me another that will be exactly the same as the first one was before it was corrected and mid-sentence while I was talking to her she forcefully throws the first short cake in the trash and leaves to go make the replacement. I was surprised by this 'manager's ' behavior, as well as that she did not apologize to me, that she did not treat me like a valued customer, that she in so many words called me a liar, that she was argumentative and impolite with me (I was polite to both employees), and that she thought it best to throw away the corrected first shortcake in front of me and then punish me by making another one the same as their first attempt. By the way, the young man at the window was very nice and well mannered throughout this. As a matter of fact, up until today every employee we've dealt over the years has always treated us nicely. Based on this experience I will have to consider discontinuing doing business with Andy's, and I will certainly share my experience with others whenever the subject of custard...

Rude customer service. This is not the usual, to make it clear. We waited for about 30 minutes or so. My husband ordered, with a nice young men that took the order on an iPad, a chocolate shake and other things for our family. When we got to the window, the first thing that came out was a vanilla shake with a drop of chocolate syrup. My husband politely mentioned that he ordered chocolate shake. She got upset and explained that it had to be ordered in a different way (chocolate custard shake). My husband politely explained that we didn’t know that, and if it could be remade with the chocolate custard. She got mad and went back with the shake and took quite a few to come back with the chocolate shake. I saw her giving it to another employee to give to us. From a person that works with the public and see all type of personalities. If a customer is being polite and nice, be nice back. You will make a better impression and...
Read moreDisappointed. Finally getting around to writing my review of this place. My family and I enjoyed it for awhile since we moved to the area until one night we go through the drive thru and I order a caramel sundae. I get it and it’s gritty dark brown chunky. We pull back through to complain about it and get something else and the lady says that’s the caramel from the bottom of the barrel and I said well it’s not any good. What does she do? Goes and makes me another sundae with the SAME awful caramel and tells me well I put more on there for you that’s all I can do. We asked to speak to the manager and she tells us she IS the manager. Wow. I was speechless at the unprofessionalism and lack of customer service skills we encountered. We no longer get ice cream from here for fear of another bad experience........ I don’t recommend anyone to come here because of the...
