Stopped by this spot after a long hike with a friend. We were a little later than the normal lunch crowd, so I think the staff were busy cleaning up. We stood at the door for a few minutes before we were noticed and seated. After that, though, everything went smoothly. They do have a novel of a menu, but once I saw spanikopita and moussaka, I was done looking. I very rarely get these, so I was hoping they were as delicious other places I've had them. Our spanikopita (and the fried cheese my friend ordered) arrived quickly and piping hot. The spanikopita was so amazingly delicious. Flaky on the outside and gooey on the inside. Just the right amount of feta and spices. The fried cheese was excellent and not the frozen sticks you dread getting when you're looking for top notch fried goodness haha. They were delicious triangles with a parmesan bread crumb crust. Both dishes came with a bowl of tomato sauce (marinara) that was quite tasty. It actually also came with my moussaka. When my moussaka came, that spiced smell hit me and brought me back to memories of the Greek festivals I've been to over the years. While it was a little fattier than I remember, that fat added a great silkiness to the dish I hadn't had before. The flavor was spot on for me. I loved it, and I'll love it again soon! We're both reusable takeaway container people, and we both took home 2+ meals. Portions were huge. With my meal and appetizer and tip, I spent about $35, but it's going to be 3 meals for me (I took home the equivalent of 2 bowls of marinara, which I'll use to make a pasta dish this week for me and my partner). That's absolutely reasonably priced to me. My moussaka also supposedly came with a trip to the salad bar, but it was already so much food that I didn't even go over there. Oh, and they have a bakery, but we were so full that we didn't peruse...
Read moreThe waiter was nice enough. But if your spouse orders breakfast and you order ravioli, he will be done eating for a bit before you get your food. Server said there are 2 different kitchens. Also, if you get the unlimited salad bar, you have to get a plate from your server. So if your server doesn’t bring your spouses meal and doesn’t come back until you finally get yours, you just have to take your now used plate he left on the table, back up there. Most places hate that so I’m not sure if you were supposed to. Spouse would’ve liked him to come over at some point while he ate (he needed something but never got a chance to ask for it before he was done). Salad bar was stocked and good. Meal said it came with breadsticks, didn’t get those so I can’t say what they taste like. Hubby got Western Omelet with no ham, add sausage. He got an omelet filled with cooked or caramelized onions with peppers. There were 3 sausage (fat links) links on a separate plate. He just removed all of the stuff from inside the omelet (paid .95 extra for pepper jack cheese that didn’t seem to be in there) and chopped up the egg & sausage. I ordered the ravioli with shredded chicken and spinach. I couldn’t tell there was chicken (wasn’t any visible) but couldn’t say there wasn’t so I just ate it. It was tasty either way. They have a bakery too but I’m pretty sure he was ready to go by that point. To sum it up, it was okay so I gave it 3 stars. We aren’t ever in this area so I don’t have to ever think about going back but I don’t regret it I guess. I love to...
Read moreI love this restaurant! It’s owned by a local family and you’ll see them working their tail off, serving, cooking and even running their own social media accounts! Frank, Sasa & sons have an incredible menu. I honestly don’t know how they keep up with all the items on their menu. There’s something for every palate. I often come for brunch, after church. If you like French Toast as much as I do, you’ll love their Grecian French Toast! You get three, thick slices of delicious bread and it comes with eggs and your choice of bacon or sausage. Be sure to bring your appetite! Yesterday, I dined in with friends and had a Calzone. It comes with Ricotta & Mozzarella cheese and your choice of can add 3 additional fillings. I had Pepperoni, Sausage & Olives. OMGosh…it was so delicious and very filling! It even came with a salad bar. The ambiance is a lot like being with friends and family. Everyone enjoying their food and each other’s company. It’s not uncommon to see Frank visiting with his guests and his staff are the nicest people. They have A LOT of regulars, which says more than any online review. I love supporting locally owned, small businesses. Especially ones who give back to the community as much as this one. They offer free meals to those in need on Thanksgiving and other holidays. They have a really cool, pay-it-forward program where one can purchase meals for someone who may not be able to afford to feed themselves. There’s a lot of love in this place and you can really feel it. It’s a must try if you haven’t yet. I...
