Chopstix Chinese restaurant — Restaurant in Spring Hill

I hate leaving bad reviews, I never really do, but this is important to share for others to know, nor would I ever want to harm a business especially a family business, but this is so this never happens to anyone again hopefully . Monday night we ordered from this restaurant, it was our first time ordering from here I usually do my research pretty well and there were a lot of great reviews, i also loved a comment that said it was a family business, which we love to support. We got our food I could tell almost instantly my husband didn’t like it because he had asked for chinese food and was barely picking at it. He had gotten a bunch of things crab Rangoon, dumpling soup, egg-rolls, beef and broccoli, and I just ordered General Tso’s chicken which is usually what I get. I asked my husband if he liked his food and why he was not eating he said it tasted weird he did not like the taste. I ate probably 4 pieces of chicken and they give you a lot for one order and I ate 4 to try to not waste because I was not crazy about it either but it didn't taste spoiled or anything to me . Maybe an hour later I got some stomach cramping, we were exhausted from a long day went to bed without thinking anything of it. We woke up my husband said his stomach hurt I said mine too as soon as I said it I had to go to the bathroom. I was stomach sick extremely stomach sick to keep it as least gross as possible. I finally left the bathroom laid on the couch now I was full blown nauseous , had not eaten a thing since the chinese food, all of a sudden i ran to the bathroom and started throwing up. My head hurt I had chills, i threw up a few times that day could not hold anything down, medicine, crackers, not even water. I had intense stomach cramps that left me in a fetal position because it felt like someone was squeezing my intestines and would not let go on top of throwing up vile because I had nothing in me to throw up. I had a 101 fever all day, that night I almost fainted thank God my husband was home, i am not kidding I almost blacked out my hands were tingling I could not get comfortable I was in excruciating pain I am not exaggerating I thought I was going to die, I have NEVER been that sick Especially after eating food. My husband thank God did not get sick like me he had really bad stomach cramps and had to go to the bathroom but he luckily did not eat any of my chicken I ordered, and I did not eat his food. But even with that only nibbling his food he felt off and I also thank God he only nibbled because I am sure if he ate more he would have been hurting, as well as if I ate all my meal I would have probably had to go to the hospital. Today is Friday and we ordered and consumed the food from this restaurant Monday. Today is the first day I am able to get out of bed without extreme intense pain, a little less nausea, and hopefully eat something and keep it down. I could not even stand for the last couple of days. If you order from here I would do it with extreme caution, I know it was the food from here because it was instantaneous and I ate earlier and all week with no problems as I have said this has never happened to me. I am not sure if the food was bad, mishandled, or what, but you guys should be very ashamed of yourselves for sending food out that can make someone sick. Any customer ordering from here I urge you to be careful with what you order, our whole order seemed to be terrible. I made a complaint Monday have not heard anything, it is really sad how you can be notified a customer was extremely sick from the food and not even care to apologize. We will never be eating here again I will never eat chinese food or probably even chicken ever again. Please be safe everyone. To the restaurants response, yes this was where we ordered from as you can see, i would never leave a bad review for the wrong place, secondly we notified the delivery service you offer they said they would notify you directly, otherwise all I can do is leave a review. I was refunded for the meal had to pay tip and delivery...

Never Again

I normally go here when I don’t feel like cooking but this time I will never go back. The level of disrespect even after I remained calm and respectful was baffling.

I went in to order food that came close to $50. The boy at the register swiped my card twice then said it was declined. I knew it was impossible because it was my debit and I for-sure had funds In the account. So, I checked my account and saw both transactions were pending to be taken out. I’ve banked with the same company for many years so I know when I see that it went through.

I went back in to show the owner, LIN. She became so rude. She shewed me off saying “credit cards always says that then the money go back in” I expressed kindly it wasn’t a credit card and I know it went through and would like the food. She declined and found the receipt showing it was declined. I asked her where was the other receipt was because both transactions went through. She blew me off.m and blamed her son for throwing it away.

I called my bank and had the representative confirm it went through. Lin even spoke with her but snatched my phone arguing with my bank then Proceeded to deny me food and continued to blow me off. I kindly told her i had the money as she saw and didn’t want trouble just the food. She became arrogant saying “oh that’s no money. You want to see my account.” Blew the heck out of me because no one was trying to play money match. I left and tried buying food elsewhere but it completely stopped working. When I called my bank to see why they stated the card most likely was swiped by a magnet which destroys them (explains the decline). I had to dispute the charges that came out the following day which came up to about $100.

The fact people with small businesses can treat customers so rudely is insane. This messed it up for all other similar restaurants. I went home and taught myself how to make it from watching YouTube....

To write ANY thing on a customer receipt aside from THANK YOU FOR YOUR ORDER! is unacceptable, especially when you're Clearly Mocking my order!! Ordered lunch items directly from CHOPSTIX website, and made small note requests as reflected on the attached receipt. The staff here decided to be condescending and disrespectful and write unnecessary responses on the receipt. The food had zero seasoning, last I checked and ate Szechuan style is Spicy... My dish was bland. Also this dish is listed as served with tofu, carrots, onions, zucchini and broccoli yet there were peas, mushrooms, water chestnuts that were highly undesired but since they weren't listed I was forced to deal with them. House special lo mein is also not worth it. I don't venture here often, in fact this was my second visit, and due to the snarky comments from the unimpressive staff along with the lack of flavor, you can bet I will not be returning! Whoever took the time to support this low grade establishment and staff by responding needs a lesson on etiquette. I do not care how You feel about your portions, because you are not paying for anything! Your "generous portions" were NOT requested, and you come with more dismissals by saying "use HOT SAUCE at home." You are shameful and your poorly thought response just lost you...
