Just wow. I don’t even know where to start. I had family from out of town that I have not seen in years. Logan’s was recommended to us. There were 3 of us adults and 2 kids.
We were seated fairly quickly and the host was the sweetest kid. But we waited at the table for 30 minutes before the manager came and said the waitress didn’t know our table was in her section. We understood. But she still never came for another 10 plus minutes. We finally put our drink order in and eventually got rolls. The rolls were nice and hot. The drinks were terrible but we politely drank them. So we ordered a beer and they were out so we ordered another beer off the menu and she didn’t even know what we were talking about. She had to get the bar tender to come so we could point to the menu to which beer we wanted.
After another 20 minutes the waitress finally came and took our order. Every thing we asked for she looked so confused and spaced out. We had to keep pointing to the menu to which things we were ordering and she kept having to ask again what we wanted. Apps finally were brought out. The chips and queso were good but the mushrooms tasted like how mushrooms smell when the start to spoil.
After about 40 minutes our food was finally delivered. My mom said her chicken was good. But our steak and shrimp were served cold. Like legit cold to the touch. Shrimp didn’t even have salt on it. Our salads came out about 15 minutes after our main course because I had to remind them about the salads. The wrong salads were brought out but at that point we decided not to say anything.
The waitress finally came to give us the check and practically pulled my card out of my hand. When she brought the receipt, she stood there and waited for me to sign and put the tip down. I still tipped even for terrible service. But damn, the place was practically empty and the few tables around us had so many issues that the manager had to keep coming out and apologizing. We overheard many other tables getting the wrong food and people leaving with most of their food still on their plates.
After a $150 check, we ate maybe an eighth of the food and did not bother taking it home. Needless to say, that was the worst dining experience I’ve ever had. Terrible service and the food was not worth it at all. It’s embarrassing we took family there. First and last time ever...
Read moreWife and I went to eat dinner tonight at 5:15 hoping to be the rush of dinner traffic. We did as more than half the place was empty. Hostess took us to a table immediately. We waited patiently for over 10 minutes before the acknowledgment. Faith, our waitress, took our order drink order (waters) and our food order. About 8 minutes go by and she brings my side salad along with our waters. I ate my salad and went through my water so I set the bowl and my glass at the edge of the table so it would be easily seen. It took 9 minutes before she came by the table again and then another 2 minutes to get me a water refill. Once we received our food, about 18 minutes after we ordered I notice that the bed of rice my chicken should be on is very small so I asked (when i say small i had to pickup the chicken to see rice) and she says yes that's it sorry. Meanwhile we eat our meal as i run out of water again and still waiting on rolls (surely it doesn't take Logan's 30 minutes to cook rolls). She left our ticket when she brought the food so I knew this refill would never happen and as expected she didn't come back until about 5 minutes after the card was in the book to pay. She did offer me a to go water, but we never got those rolls she said were in the oven when we ordered. You may wonder why I have all these times, I have started timing our restaurant visits lately as it seems we get slow and terrible service all the time now. I plan to call the general manager of this location tomorrow, but I hope this review gets someones attention. Faith doesn't need to be fired. she needs to be trained and then coached and managed properly. Hope someone from Logan's monitors this and reached out to me.
Follow up: I was contacted by the general manager before noon the following day. She was very understanding and very thankful for the feedback. Offered for us to come back on them which I explained I would not accept as I was not looking for anything free. We will be back to eat at Logan's and will continue to give them feedback on how they are doing. If retail or restaurants don't get feedback they don't know how to improve so I urge everyone to give both positive and...
Read moreIt's so sad to see the current state of this location. My family and I used to adore Logans, and whenever we visited, it was such a special treat. Especially since we couldn't always afford to go. I remember the peanuts on the floors and the buckets on the tables. Our staff was usually always attentive, and their service was quick and efficient.
Tonight, I sadly saw none of that here. Seating took ages despite being told it was a 15 minute wait. We watched as countless other customers came in after us and left disappointed due to the length (Mind you, there were plenty of open seats, so I assume this comes down to the current staffing issue that's so prevalent right now, but it was still strange).
Eric, our host that night, seemed unenthused and even downright irritable by our presence, especially when informed that we had two extra members who would be joining us. While nothing was said directly to us, his overall attitude was concerning and felt unfriendly. Especially when he dropped our menus onto the table and left without saying another word.
Over the course of our meal we experienced several issues as well. Incorrect drink orders, not enough straws, strange chunks in the salads, and to top it all off, we discovered a hair cooked into one of the meals. Considering the salad was 15 dollars, this was pretty disgusting and uncaring. Our server was also pretty terrible, mixing up our tickets twice. During all of this, I also noticed that tables that left over an hour prior to us were not being cleaned up either. While again, this could be down to a staffing problem, the fact that nothing whatsoever was being done about it for that long wasn't exactly reassuring. This continues to reflect poorly on the restaurant itself, and the lack of care that has become so prevalent over the last couple of years.
For the amount of money we paid during these visits, it has become far from worth it. Unless something changes regarding the staff, the management, or the chain itself, the Logans I once adored as a child now no longer exists, and with the continuing level of decline it's been experiencing, I don't believe it...
